1    Perfect Fit -26
2    Cape Town Stevie 213
3    High Dollar Woman 3
4    Indian Annie 3
5    Sarah Sis -14
6    Take Charge Brandi 16
7    Sweet Corinna 106

The numbers say that TCB will have to rate. Lot of times you see a lot of speed on paper though and then when the gates open there becomes a lack of speed or only one horse goes to the front.

I would think that High Dollar Woman will take back some, but just going off the figures, Sweet Corinna looks like a really good play at 10/1.

Will need a Brinks truck if you can hit the Pick 4 with TCB getting beat. Probably for your show wager as well if she doesn't even hit the board.

Smart players won't single in the "big" race.  You'll need a price and a single in one of the other three races IMO.

If you can single TCB and get prices in other races you can still be rewarded hansomly. If you can beat TCB and get some prices, we'll see ya at the IRS window.

Preliminary Thoughts:

Martha Washington:  Don't see how TCB loses as she towers above the field from a class and earnings standpoint, but I'd imagine the connections likely have bigger fish to fry.  Is she racing with her A game today?  Does it even matter?

I'll likely single TCB on the majority of tickets and spread out with the other legs.  And as was suggested earlier in the thread, if for some strange reason TCB doesn't win, I will make a ticket or two using Perfect Fit, Indian Annie, and Sarah Sis.

Played an early pick 4...

OAK R2 1.00 USD PK4 3,8/6,8/3,6/2,6

Alive to the 2 or 6 in the 5th.  I give myself about a 5% chance of hitting....
Quote from: mckinneyhog5 on April 07, 2019, 10:29:55 pmGuys, we have hired the BEST coach that we could have hired. Musselman is gonna rock it here like we haven't seen since the early 90's. Just sit back and watch it unfold! We WILL be a nationally recognized program again soon.

J.R Caldwell had 2 horses in the race and I played the wrong one...

I've never ridden a racehorse, but my eyes want to know what the eff John Court was doing in the last stage of that race.  I had Sarah Sis covered anyway, but still .... that would have been an horrific loss for TCB.  Anyway, glad she won and is set to move forward.

Got a $20 DD going with Borel and the 8.  Took a shot b/c of trainer success at OP.  Knew the late pick 4 wouldn't pay anything and TCB would be hard to beat.

Had the double with 7 and 9, luckily the 9 got up in time.

As for Court, wouldn't be back on Mr. Z or TCB.

I singled her and made a little money. If the 2nd place horse had won in the 9th it would have paid very nice.

I had the early pick 4 and the middle pick 3 so I did alright.

Lukas quote on TCB

"She's very workmanlike," Lukas said. "She knows how to win races. She's cruising along, very relaxed, and then that horse comes to her and she surges back and wins. At Los Alamitos, two or three of them did that to her, and she surged every time they came. Jon, I think, got a little bit complacent and relaxed there, too."

My opinion on Take Charge Brandi, she is a competitor in every sense of the word. she sees another horse and she just knows what to do. Do i think she will end the meet undefeated at Oaklawn? I just can't bring myself to say yes. sarah sis was super impressive. closing like that while going 4 wide on the turn was impressive considering TCB got away with some slow fractions.

I go out on a limb and say yes she will be undefeated, unless some tries the boys in AR Derby.

Have to remember that it was her first start in a while. I think normally you would look at the pace of the race to determine whether a horse belongs, but TCB does just enough, just what she needs to do. She isn't necessarily going to pull away because she needs someone after her to keep her going. Seems like a good fit for blinkers maybe, unless they make her run off early, but going fast early hasn't hurt her yet.
