Yankee News

Alex Rodriguez has tested positive for 2 anabolic steroids from his 2003 AL MVP season while with the Texas Rangers according to sources. He reportedly tested positive for testosterone and an anabolic steroid called Primobolan while playing for Texas. According to the website steroids.com, Primobolan is quite weak when used alone, thus its primary use is what is known as the cutting cycles. In other words, when the goal is not to increase mass while still building strength. This comes just a week after exerpts from Joe Torre's book, "The Yankee Years" makes claims that A-Rod was known by his teammates as "A-Fraud" after being painted as needy.

They will lose 120 games!   ;)

If they lost 120,  I'd be disappointed--  that it wasn't 121.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Joe G. just announced today the most likely rotation will be:

1. CC
2. CMW
3. AJ
4. Dandy Andy
5. Joba

First at bat of the year (well spring training) was a HR by Bret Gardner!

Hmm, Kansas City trip sounds good in April!

It will be another world series.  I plan to attend all the Games against the Rangers at home.  Any Yanks fans going let me know.  I am also planning to go to about 20 or so in the new stadium.  Section 203.  If you can handle the language and hijinx in that section (relocated creatures from 39 in old stadium)  You can generally find tickets face value 12.00 bucks.  If you are going up and can't find any let me know.
Let's make some waves.

BirminghamBill

CC got shelled today.  Couldn't control his pitches.  Not a big deal yet, though.

At least Joba had his first good outing this week.

TexasHog, I hear ya.  NY is a little too far to go for a game for me too.  I'm pumped they are coming to ATL this year.

BirminghamBill

Any thoughts on Joe's call to have Jeter batting first and Damon hitting second?   As of now, I'm all for it.

UhOhioHog

Jeter leading off should give more balance to the lineup as far as Righty/Lefty.  I see this lineup as interchangable throughout the season as needed.  If Jeter gets on it should open up the right side of the infield for Damon.  Plus, Jeter does hit into his fair share of Twin Killings, so, this eliminates one chance per game.

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

I like Jeter leading off.

Joba was good if not great, but the pen blew it.

Still expecting a fantastic year.  And yeah Texashogfan.  I will be there may 24,25,26th when the Yanks are in town to see the Rangers.   I still may be going up this week for the home opener in the New Yankee Stadium.....
Let's make some waves.

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

In front of the tube getting ready to watch the Yanks and Rays.  Wang v/s Kazmir.  A win here would be huge.

Not gonna make it to the opener in the new stadium in the Bronx.  Not happy about that, but expecting a great season and yet another world series championship.

Go Yankees!
Let's make some waves.

Wow Wang what a disaster.  Was fun to Watch Nick Swisher pitch a scoreless 8th inning though..lol
Let's make some waves.

BirminghamBill

Glad Burnett and Pettitte can finish off the series strong.  I thought that road trip would never end.  Weird standings after 9 games:

Baltimore
Toronto
NY
Tampa
Boston

Here's to Section 203!!!

New Yankee stadium opens on MLB Network in 1 minute and I'm taking the day off!!!!

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

Third time this year  greatstarting pitching.  tied 1-1 in the 7th and the freaking bullpen gives up 9 runs.  unbelievable...................man I wanna smack somebody...
Let's make some waves.

Immensehog

Observations:

Girardi may not make the all-star break.

The yanks need to develop prospects instead of buying players.

Life is short.  Act accordingly.

BigSexyHog

I have a good friend that is a big time Yankee fan.... I called him 10 times yesterday to make sure he didn't off himself...  Good times!!!!
Lebron raised money for kids... Rotnei stole crap from the equipment room

hogboy44

If we still had the right Joe the Joe that should not been fired. The Joe that made the playoffs 13 strait times. The Joe that was in the post season last year. Not the Joe we have. I like Giradi as a catcher and as a Yankee. But Joe Torri is Joe Torri and is the best coach in the MLB and the best possible fit for the Yankees. If Torri had this team World Series trophy 27 would be added to the collection no doubt

Alright.  I appreciate that you are a Yanks fan.  I am no spelling wizard but being a Yank fan like you are I am gonna give you a heads up.  It's TorrE not Torri.

I really appreciated the job he did.  I am one of the few however that was ready for a change.  I don't know that they would have won it all last year with Torre either.  Who knows.  I think they should have won 3 or 4 more during Torre's tenure.

I really feel if we can get a little more control out of Joba.  Wang can get it back in gear. or Phil Hughes can put it together for a long stretch this year.  We will infact win that next title this year.  Keep watching them buddy.

By the way first game with the friggin Sox is tomorrow night.
Let's make some waves.

lol....sucked.  I am worried that the first two games we should have won.  Up two two out bottom of ninth game one.   6-0 lead game two......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  I was ready to strangle someone.

Talent is there I am not certain who to blame......Maybe it' JOE
Let's make some waves.

Masshog

I would blame whoever was in charge of putting the bullpen togather.  Watching the games this week I think they will play pretty even all year but that the Sox have better pitching.

I might agree.  However if Wang can get back and be decent I would put our pitching right there with the Sox.  Phil HUghes coming up and when Ian kennedy returns we should have much more flexibility.  that is providing either live up to 50% of their hype.
Let's make some waves.

Jeff "hogfanintx" Anderson

Phil Hughes looked great and so did Joba.  I am concerned about us giving up 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth.  I will take the win, but It does concern me long term.  Some problems need to be corrected.

Starting to see a little bit of the magic returning for the pinstripes

I may go next week when they are in Arlington.  Not sure yet.
