28000 for LSU... last year i see they had 33000...  They sure don't have that passionate of a fanbase as we do.

They serve their time in the spring and summer, get out on Saturdays in the fall.

That is what I heard as well. I also heard that their stills are not producing as much during this time. Around Sept they really start to produce.

I see also Ohio State only got 37000 show for their spring game. It really gets under my skin all the free publicity that school gets from ESPIN.

MuskogeeHogFan

Not surprisingly, 7 of the top ten spring game attendances belong to SEC schools.
Go Hogs Go!

The last 3 years we are 7, 5 and 5 in spring attendance.  Not too shabby

UNLV's SID called you to correct what you posted on Hogville?

Or did you post this on your other site and he saw it?

Either way that's pretty funny.

Doug

Fayettechill, he did a mention on Twitter. :)

You might actually be surprised as to the number of FB SID's I actually talk to. :)

just did a check on their last year attendance was 81,000.

thats a drastic drop. Are they just not excited anymore?

regi

Ohio State had their Spring Game in Cincy this year, maybe the reason for the decrease.

ESPN does not base their programming decisions on projected/past attendances at Spring games. They base them on very detailed and proven projections of program VIEWERSHIP, upon which they can base the maximum advertising rates. The state of Ohio has 11.5MM people, with many others in neighboring, high-population (Big Ten) states also potential viewers of that programming.

Follow the money, and you'll have less consternation about these types of ESPN decisions.....

Based on spring game attendance and number of unrealistic fans, I agree.

No one to throw cups of pi$$ on is my guess.

Doug

Updated. We actually have one more game that SBNation doesn't (yet), plus actual correct numbers for UNLV and Nevada. :)

Either way, Tark drew more fans at his secret basketball practice sessions.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
