He reminded me of McGwire in the home run derby, maybe even more powerful.  He looked like he was hitting Pro V1s with a 5 iron.  Wow, what a display, and to all fields.

Won't be long before he reminds you of McGwire in a different way......or Sosa.......or Rodriguez...or Bonds...etc etc..

You think he is a juicer?  Maybe he is, I don't know.  I don't think steroids made him 6'7", though.  They may explain the 282 pounds of muscle.

GolfNut57

No, steroids had nothing to do with his height. But there has to be a reason he has that freakish bat speed that has him launching home runs distances unseen before. And of course with the past history of certain yankee players and steroids there is going to be suspicion anytime they have a new player show up, a rookie at that, who is lighting up the long ball.

It is almost at the point I consider him the baseball version of Hollywood's Dolph Lundgren (Drago) in Rocky 4.

It's hard to believe anyone would risk using PEDs these days, but I know some will.  McGwire hit 49 home runs as a lanky, presumably clean rookie, but he wanted more.

I surely hope this kid is clean.
He has the opportunity to be a great ambassador for the game and good role model.
I'm a die hard Red Sox fan - but I really like Judge.
Just listened to an interview before the Yankees / Sox game.
Love his outlook and his demeanor.
Said when he was in school  "Playing sports was a privilege" - had to do his homework and make good grades before he could play / and he appreciated his parents instilling those morals in him.

Someone needs to tell the announcers there's a ballgame going on that they're missing - do their Aaron Judge lovefest between innings.

Cardinals are 2nd in MLB with 26,  1 run losses. Not good at all.

I don't think you can blame that on Aaron Judge.

ErieHog

Does he break the single season record....

For strikeouts?

He's 48 from breaking Mark Reynold's record.     The Yankees have  30 games to play,  but his K rate has been almost at 2 a game since the ASB--  and is still 1.3 per game overall.

I don't think he quite gets there, but he turns in an all-timer class of year, when it comes to the K.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

He won't get "there". Girardi has been keeping him on the bench a lot lately to keep his strikeouts down. lol

Benny had a good night last night.
Sox lost the game, but he reached base all 5 times he went to the plate.
2 singles and 3 walks.
That's a fine night.

A-A-Ron had a helluva night last night.  Facing former UA Ace tonight

I hate the Yankees, but I really want this kid to be clean, he is the kinda guy you want to be successful. I think he is good for baseball.

Same goes for Stanton.

A new Major League Record!

For post-season strikeouts.

27.

Yeesh.

Not surprising. With him it is a all or nothing swing. He swings as hard as he can and usually whiffs. But if he solidly connects it is no wonder it travels a long ways. Kid has to learn it is more important about just making contact and putting the ball in play than it is to hit tape measure shots. A HR hit over a 350 foot fence counts just as much as one that goes 450 feet.

A lot like a new Jim Thome, a true 3 outcome player, when you throw in his 127 walks this year.
