QuoteAfter being stopped short of the goal line on an interception return against Louisiana Tech in 2014, Adams wouldn't be denied Saturday against Mississippi State. The 6-foot-4, 309-pound senior defensive tackle scooped up a fumble from Carl Lawson at the 13-yard line and rumbled in for the score to put Auburn up 34-0 just before halftime.

This election season, #Mizzou's Josh Augusta believes he's qualified to be American's next Piesman Trophy winner http://www.columbiatribune.com/sports/mu_football/mu-s-augusta-ramps-up-piesman-trophy-campaign/article_a529d4b3-1821-57fe-932c-4c46eabddf65.html ...

QuoteJosh Augusta wants a slice of the pie.

This election season, Augusta would like you to know that he's piecing together a solid candidacy to be America's next Piesman Trophy winner.

What the heck is the Piesman Trophy?

Started last year by SB Nation, the Piesman Trophy is awarded annually to a lineman who, during the course of the season, achieves the greatest feat with the football in his hands. The play can come from any level of college football. Last year, Southeastern Louisiana defensive tackle Ashton Henderson won for a play in which he scooped up a fumble, barreled over an offensive lineman and rumbled 45 yards for a touchdown against the Florida Institute of Technology.

The trophy, which is a crystal slice of pie on a stand, is presented to the winner along with, naturally, real pie at a December ceremony in New York.

If it sounds hokey, it's not to Augusta, Missouri's senior defensive tackle.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 355 pounds — in truth, he might be a few biscuits more than that —
