We're gonna stomp a mud hole anyway. MA 6-1 over last 7 against Mizzou.

Most SEC teams are that against Mizzou over the last 3-4 years.

hoglady

Arkansas just needs to play their game.
If they play smart and share the ball we'll be OK whether Porter plays or not.

That just doesn't sound right.  Seems he's either healthy or needs more rest before he turns pro.  If I were the coach, I'd rather his first game be played on the home court.

Not sure it would be smart for MPJ to play at all this season.

RaisinHog

Oh remember he said he would be back next year lol

No, but if he did say that, it's laughable.

I have thought the same thing.  If he was my son, he would just wait it out.

He probably did say that right after the injury, they all say that, he's a kid.

Does it ever work out for us when someone starts talking smack before a road game?

See, here's a perfect example of people reading words but not understanding.  He said he is NOT a guarantee one and done.  At that time he did not make up his mind.  So, I just past that along saying there is a chance he might be back next year.  Everyone knows he won't be, but I was just passing that along.  At no time did I say he was coming back or I thought he was coming back.

Anyway, should be a good time today.  Good luck.  The Hogs are on a roll.

Boy, plays a minute or two in his first game at MO, then NOTHING rest of year until today... maybe.  Do not think I have ever seen someone play 2 minutes his entire Freshman year and go Pro.. What can they possibly evaluate about him to put him in the high $$ Pro selection, especially with an injury that required surgery and no proof that he can play without a re-injury? The Pro team could stand to lose a LOT of money.  I understand Gafford going Pro at this time but NOT Porter.

rude1

Just wonder how much disruption this is causing their team? Seemed they were playing better when they knew he was gone and didn't expect him back. Now that it's speculated every game he might play, their play doesn't seem it's as good as it was earlier.

It's about his draft position. Came in heralded as potential No. 1 overall, only played a couple of minutes so there isn't film to pick his game apart. So he remains still top 5 - 10 on most draft boards, coming back would only give them that film to pick his game apart, and if comes back not what he was expected coming into this season, he could slide greatly.

Every NBA team has seen him Play, Not in college this but in AAU and High School. The Potential is so high with this kid and MUCH Higher than Gafford.

He will go Top 10 regardless. Maybe Top 5. NBA teams will run him through multiple specialists, so they will not "know" if he will get injured but they will know if he has any greater odds of getting injured than any other player. Lots of players have had that high of pick spent on them and never played 2 minutes. LeBron, Kobe, Kevin Garnett to name a few.

What about DG?

That is who we need to be talking about. Daniel Gafford. MPJ is like bigfoot. The big man in this game is Daniel Gafford.

Daniel Gafford. Say it 3 times.

Big Man, Really I think MPJ's  Brother who is a Freshman also is 6-11 and scored 24 points their last game.  Careful PRJ, don't get out of your Homer ski's. DG is good but be careful.

Jontay Porter( a Freshman )  MPJ's brother say it three times. Out scored out rebounded and had more assists than DG in this game. PRJ, be thankful the other Porter didn't play.

The out dated style of play was a factor.  At some point, you have to just consider that the style of defense sucks.  Every single game you guys blame the refs...did it ever occur to you that maybe it is the team?  Mike Anderson's defensive scheme is the definition of insanity.  The better PREPARED team won.  It is that simple.

I know, but PRJ is annoying.  Missouri fans tried to warn you guys, that is when I started posting.  Felt bad for you, you weren't getting Nolan lite AND his friends and family recruiting connections were burned at Missouri.  He really is a good guy, but man he isn't much of a coach unless he has above average talent that can just ball and doesn't need much coaching.

Uh, the post I quoted implied that the officials were to blame.  It wasn't called all that bad.  All the coach had to do to stop the bleeding was switch to a zone, but the prodigy that is Mike doesn't change.  Sad, 7 seniors.  7.  This team should have been better than the Portis Qualls team, wasted.  Now, start all over again with new kids and no leaders.

Don't know if that is possible.  Waiting for you to call me out and internet tough guy me.  Our bum coached circles around your "coach", so there is that.  Honestly, I would much rather have the bum than Mike Anderson, happiest day in Missouri basketball was when he left...well second happiest, getting rid of Kim Anderson might have been the happiest.  He was our Anderson and thank goodness we cut bait.
