Guys late last night I lost my Dad unexpectedly.  He was a huge Hog fan and instilled a love of the Hogs in me.  Arkansas sports and St. Louis Cardinals baseball were something that we loved sharing.  I truly don't know how I'm going to get through my next Hog game without being a blithering idiot.  My Dad was a great guy who shaped me into the person I am today.  I will forever miss him.  I'm thankful that we were able to take my son to the 2016 Auburn game.  I hope to carry on the Hog Love with my little guy.  Please pray that we find some peace.

You will find peace. My prayer is that you are able to make this transition easier on your son if he was old enough to be your dad's best little buddy...

Truly saddened to learn of your dad's death. I lost mine last Halloween (2016) and I've deeply felt his loss every day since. Remember and thank God for the good times and wonderful memories you have of him. Do that in a sense he will remain alive.

You got it buddy. I really hate to hear that, but at least it sounds like you were close to him. Bout all I can say is I am praying and I do know how it feels.
"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

Oh buddy, I'm sorry. I know too well how you're feeling right now. I lost my dad 4 years ago and my mom 2 months ago. It's tough, but you will  get through it. Just take a long look at your son...that's God's way of healing. Prayers to you and your family!

Very sorry to hear of your loss. Glad that you had the bond with him that you did. There are not many things in life harder than losing a great parent. And not many losses in life where you feel both the pain of loss and the joy of good memories as deeply and as long. Wishing and praying for you and your family that you receive comfort for the pain and that you have long, happy memories of him.

So sorry, you know we all forget sometimes those good times we all know and share, especially with those you love. The thing is we will miss having them there with us during any big wins or losses. We find out , well no matter what the future, it means a little less. God bless you during these difficult times.

From my family to yours I am sorry for your loss with a heavy heart. It seems your father passed along a passion for our beloved Razorbacks to you and that is something that you are passing along to your son currently. Although, in the grand scheme of life that subject means very little but it can bring so many of us together as one in this community. God bless you and your family, hold your son tight each chance you get brother. I will be sending prayers your way this evening.

I'm so sorry, man. Prayers up for you & your family.

I lost my dad this past February, after a 17 year fight with bone marrow cancer (which they originally said he only had 2-3 years).

The only thing I can tell you is, remember the good times. That's the only thing that has gotten me by this past 10 months. We too were both Hogs & Cardinals fans, and went to games every year & played in golf tournaments together, and hit the casinos.

But the thing I'll always cherish the most is that my (now) 16 year old daughter got to grow up & spend time with her "Bobo".  There's just something about Grandparents & Grandkids.

He's still with you and your son. He always will be.

So sorry for you loss. Nothing anyone can say to make it better at the moment. As time goes on, we tend to focus more and more on the way our loved ones lived, rather than the way they died. The whole Hogville family is here for you. Just take it one day at a time.
