About the Lou Holtz Doll

If you can think back to 1977: What was the selling point behind this doll?  Was it sold in stores or did you get them at games and did other college coaches have dolls too at this time?  Looks like he's even wearing some Fatty McGee's

I have a genuine Holtz doll in my office. I've been known to throw darts at it from time to time.
I saw Holtz on TV today. He was wearing a fake grin.  I say fake because while he was at Arkansas I never saw him smile unless a TV camera was on him.
He said something like, "I'm sure the South Carolina football program will return to it's glory days under Steve Spurrier."

I saw the same Lou Holtz interview on Cold Pizza....Holtz looked pathetic and just rambled....I actually felt sorry for the man.
