Watching his highlights, he attacks the ball in a crowd and he knows how to stalk block a DB.  Those are highly underrated skills by WRs now days.  He has to understand the business side of working hard to get on the field and stay there from his baseball experience and playing at a big time high school.  I can see him working is way into a role at Arkansas sooner than later if he will block like he did in the video and catch balls when they are thrown his direction.

Good news!!

Dave Van Horn said LHP Colin Fisher did not need Tommy John surgery Monday and should be rehabbed from an internal brace procedure by January.

Quote from: Trip2Omaha on Today at 09:13:50 amBates was there and would have stayed. All these players were told they would not play at that level and each of them are and would have competed well in the SEC. They just didn't get the opportunity to be coached. Maybe DVH finds it harder to develop because he's less patient. The landscape is different for sure but that's also the problem with college coaches. Maybe it's lack of coaching development and that's why it's all about portal recruiting.
My understanding was that Bates (and his dad) were out the door b/4 his freshman season was over. I always felt he got playing time/talked about above the contributions he was actually making. I assumed that was done in an attempt to keep him.

They lost to something called UTRGV too. They have been playing better, but no Big 12 team scares me, if we save Smith

Quote from: Trip2Omaha on Today at 08:32:38 amHogs had some good young talent with 2020 class and look what those guys are doing now. The program should have had patience to redshirt instead of telling guys they couldn't play. Ethan Bates, Clayton Gray, Michael Brooks. All excelling and all they had to do was develop them and let them mature as players. Those three are going to get drafted this year and would be upgrades in the lineup. And don't say they can't play, we went after transfers (John Bolton, Wilmsmeyer, Wagner). All those guys that transferred away are good hitters and On base machines. More walks than K's, SLG %, OPS.

Maybe the recruits we had, we didn't have the patience to develop. Or maybe we don't think development is the way to go any longer. Either way, it is what it is hitting now.
Pretty sure a few of those didn't want to be developed, they wanted to play. At Arkansas and other top programs, if you're not playing early, you're falling behind.

Former Colorado, Florida State transfer DL Bishop Thomas commits to Georgia State

by: Barkley Truax

QuoteFormer Colorado, Florida State defensive lineman Bishop Thomas has committed to Georgia State, he announced on the Listen2DP Podcast with Daymond Patterson II.

In his lone season at Colorado, Thomas appeared in eight games and tallied six tackles, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Thomas' best game of the season came in Colorado's win over Arizona State.

Thomas was reportedly dismissed from the program after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Before transferring to Colorado, Thomas spent one season at Florida State.

Bishop Thomas played high school football at Bishop Moore.

Quote from: PorkRyan on Today at 09:09:13 amNot sure how weak Texas is.  They aren't a very deep team but they have made some pitching changes and have won 4 series in a row with three of them against TCU, OU and OSU.  They are looking a little bit like last years TCU team.  They've also been better on the road than at home which is really strange.

They also have the exact same record against Q1 and Q4 (10-8). They are somehow 51 in RPI. The next best team to have that many Q4 losses is Michigan State at 102. That's a crazy amount
