Quote from: PorkRyan on Today at 10:26:35 amHis SLG% at .348 in SEC play makes him almost unplayable as a 1B, but we have so many holes that we don't have any other options.  I bet he's dead last among 1B in SLG and OPS.

Chances are you are correct. But we only slug .404 as a team. We have zero candidates for a prototypical 1B. However, it is debatable where he should be in the lineup With such a low slug%.

Quote from: LadybackBBFan on Today at 10:44:23 amAgree but Leinstock is the worst fielding pitcher I have ever seen
its one place being 6-2 works against her, that and her frame, she isn't exactly lithe in the circle.   Sometimes she also fumbles the ball as opposed to someone like Camenzind that's like a vacuum cleaner when it comes close to her...if Hannah makes an error its with her throw trying to do too much.

Why not both?

NBA Draft Lottery: Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT on ABC

By Thomas Lagrone |

QuoteThe four NBA teams that finished the regular season with the worst records will have the highest odds to receive the first overall pick. The four worst records in the 2024 regular season belonged to the Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, and Portland Trail Blazers. The Trail Blazers and Hornets received a top four pick during the 2023 NBA draft, and they have some of the highest probabilities at obtaining those picks again this year.

How about this deal it's most likely neither one will make it to the final 4.Having to start with a whole new team and have the continuity with the players to make a run like that. Last year we thought Arkansas was going to be world beaters when Muss brought in all the experienced players, well that sure went to pot. So the likely hood of either one of them in the last 4 standing is something I wouldn't want to bet the farm on.

Quote from: Hogo Piglitz on Today at 07:09:10 amThat's because you're dumb Benny kid enrolled January 15 that's the day he gets to campus. He's at home until that day so no BYU anything he home in Kansas.

https://247sports.com/player/danny-saili-46128230/

April 30th enters the portal means he is not part of the team at BYU no access to team anything and more than likely not on campus anymore he at home in Kansas.

Facts > Feelings

You keep using that word, yet you keep demonstrating that you do not know it's meaning.

Tell me, where is it a 'fact' that he didn't even move to campus until the day before the BYU add/drop date? Where is it a 'fact' that he missed the entire first week of mandatory workouts?

247 says that is the date that he officially enrolled, but that a) the only fact there is that it is what 247 reported. B) What do you think enrollment means? That's just when the paperwork gets finalized. Being a transfer student, it's not uncommon for your paperwork to take longer to go through.

What do you think is more likely? That he was on campus, working out, taking classes, and just waiting for the paperwork to go through or... that he waited until the 2nd to last day to even arrive to campus, sign up for classes, miss the first week of workouts, and all that? Better yet, don't answer that, because sometimes it's better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Quote from: BroyledNutts on Today at 10:49:05 amI think that's in part because they have no clue which pitch is going to be a strike and which one isn't, due to the ever undulating SEC strike zone, so they have to throw a pitch that catches too much of the plate ...

This staff loves outside breaking pitches in pitcher counts.  It's no secret and hurts us.  Look at what Hagen does well (I know he's a top draft pick) but he locates fastballs inside, out, and up and batters can't sit outside breaking stuff on him.  Tygart's talents are being underutilized by not developing a fastball on the same plane as his breaking stuff that runs up/in on a righty.

Quote from: tennesseehogwild on Today at 10:36:38 amhog pitching has been giving up a lot of 0-2 and 1-2 hits lately, or so it seems.

This has been very common under Hobbs

Quote from: Baconomics on Yesterday at 12:58:19 pmI'm at a bit of a loss to see how McEntire "crumbled" last night.  After the bases loaded K, he was squeezed on the 2-2 and walked a guy.  The next batter blooped a good 2-strike pitch over 2nd base, and the 3rd batter hit a swinging bunt into the empty space right of the pitcher.

He has struggled in some of the recent road games, but last night was just bad luck.  And yes, DVH was right to pull him.  When the breaks are going against a pitcher, try another.

Scouting report has hurt him big time.  Batters can eliminate parts of the plate and just sit.  He he needs generous outside zone from umps now days.
