I cant believe that no one has posted a video or started a thread about Lebron and Beverly getting into it today. If I could I would, but I'm little more than a moron on this IPhone. Maybe some one could help a brother out?

Not a big deal but I'm impressed Beverly doesn't back down from anyone.

That's why teams love players like Beverly, unless he's on the other side.

He's created a great niche role for himself in the league.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Yep, same reason a guy like Haslem is in his 12th year with the Heat. Also a guy like the X Man, Xavier McDaniel had a 12 year career or more based on hustle, toughness and being loved by his teammates.

He is a bad ass utility player. He does all the hard stuff like staying all over a great offensive player for 40 minutes, and keeping people off of Hardin, etc.
Great team player.

Best part of the whole deal is the embedded ad I got was "Teach your kids to stop bullies". Right above a picture of grown millionaire superstars fighting on a national stage. You can't buy irony like that.

I love Beverly, I watch every Houston game I can because of his play.  Sure, Hardin is their Cadillac, but Beverly I assure you is the one that makes that team go.  If Howard had been playing in that game last night, you would have seen him and Lebron fighting, or Lebron backing away acting as though he was fighting,  Howard has already showed several times this season and last how quick he is to jump on someone who's beating on Beverly.

I'm just hoping he got the charge call, but it's LeBron and the nba so I'm sure he didnt

Beverley has always had that fire.  Every once in a while it would bite him in the @$$ in college and he'd get a little out of control, but he matured after he left and learned how to reign it in.  I wish we made a bigger deal about the success he's having.

Btw, a big part of why Cleveland lost was because Lebron - ya know, the supposed GOAT over Michael Jordan - went 3-for-11 from the free throw line.  This season should put that "debate" to rest for good.  It's never ever been as close as some people want to make it out to be.

Good job.

I don't watch much NBA but this seems to be what Beverley does given his history with players like Westbrook.

Appreciate it. Yeah he aint no punk. Westbrook and Lebron. If your gonna agitate go big or go home. Rodmanesque. Damian Lillard made him look average in the playoffs last year though.

That's freaking hilarious. I've not been a Lebron fan since the whole fake coughing mocking Nowitzki incident. That must be Brian Scalibrine's son.

That's good to hear I've always liked Howard and have felt he has been given a bum wrap the last few years. They should've kept Linn and Parsons though.

On pure talent and just being a specimen there's never been anything like Lebron. At least since ive been watching. No one had a clue Jordan would become JORDAN. Mike and Nolan have a similar make up. There was much more hype surrounding Len Bias. At least that's how I remember it. The expectations of Lebron have been unfair and unrealistic IMO and I'm no Lebron fan. I totally agree we should make a bigger deal of the success Beverly's having. I would love if there was a forum on here that gave updates or kept track of former Hogs playing around the globe like Weems, Clarke or Charles Thomas. A lot of former Hogs out there representing and it would be cool if we could keep track. We make such a big deal about them coming to The U of A especially Arkansas kids, but seem to be on to the next fairly easy with out a thought of supporting former players. I know basketball and football are apples and oranges, but I've always been a bit envious of how former Miami football players represent the U. Carolina and Duke do it well.

He may have meant the number of minutes that PBev plays per game..although that's actually around 30 minutes.

I take it you never watched MJ play? I can assure you he had his fair share of poor shooting games. 20+ missed shots, and missed FTs throughout a game.

Did LBJ choke the other day? Yes. However, it was a regular season game. LBJ is having yet another potential MVP type season. He has as good a shot as any to win it again this season. Keep in mind, he still has probably 8-10 season left in the league as long as he stays healthy. Hard to compare LBJ to MJ until their careers are over. I never get why people want to compare an entire body of work to one that is only half finished.

He doesn't play the whole game...  he averages about 32-38 minutes.  And I was waiting for someone to say that.

No way LBJ plays another 10 years, he's no kid anymore

I said 8-10. He turned 30 a couple months ago. I think he plays at the level he is currently playing at for few more years before seeing a decline. I see him playing until he is 37-38, but wouldn't be surprised if he played la few years later. Jordan played until he was 40, KG is going to play until he is 40, Duncan is 37, and still going.

Jordan also took 3 years off. The way he plays he won't play until 40 unless he starts taking plays off

Yeah, I just don't see how he would play 10 more years. That would make 22 years in the league. 8 more years is really pushing it but I guess that's possible. Jordan would've been done earlier if he didn't have a vested interest in the Wiz.

For you oldtimers I remember the stories about Calvin Murphy taking on Sidney Wicks and hitting him so fast all you could see was Wicks head going back (and Calvin says he got his quick hands from his days as a baton twirler)  toughest guy might have been John Brisker who after his ABA/NBA career went to Uganda to become a mercenary for IDI Amin  He has never been seen since and is rumored to have been thrown to the alligators

TBQH, Beverley acted like a clown. Lebron didnt do anything to warrant such a response.

Please dont take that as a bash against him though, he was a great razorback, and has done very well in the league. Just saying in this one case he overreacted to nothing at all.

I'm just wondering how you're seeing this as Beverley acting as a clown, Lebron clearly was the instigator of this play by pushing Beverley back down to the floor, I don't even see how the Ref could call a double T on that play.  I must be missing something you saw differently.

The Grizzlies sure could have used that kind of attitude Tuesday night against Utah! Of course it didn't help that Zach, Tony and Beno were all out. I will say that Utah has some nice young talent. I still can't stand Quinn Snyder though.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

They could use it right now too.  I'm getting tired of seeing them allow sub .500 teams hang around and then trying to put them away in the last 6 minutes.
