It's going to be a long rest of the season for that guy. It seem every time he tried to escape pressure bama caught him from behind. He's so slow but hopefully they put in more of a quick passing game plain for him if not, you think AA was getting beat up they going to chop that big tree CK down before seasons end.

Bama jumped on his back, shoulders and head to bring him down which I thought was dirty since they could not get him down hitting him from the waste down. No Auburn is a different story, they will face mask, helmet to helmet and any defensive play you can think of to get a player hurt or down. We have seen it in the past and with as big as Cole is and after the loss to LSU they will be at their worst. They will cheat like they do every time they play us.

Bama runs down QBs regularly.  Getting caught from behind by them doesn't indicate "slow".

I worry for the kid.  Auburn will use the couple times he's trucked a defender as an excuse to cheap shot him high.

What's the over/under on the number of falling down "injuries" the Tiggers have planned?

he may not be slow but he sure isn't quick. Takes him a bit to get all that humanity moving at a fast pace. That being said, I thought he stood tough in the pocket on several occasions.
This is fun, isn't it.

You think either unit will be on the field long enough to get tired?

He's three times as fast as AA in the pocket man, no doubt about it.

You never know I remember that goal line play when Auby did that.

Bama players have huge respect for Cole Kelley.  Kid plays one game and seems to be more respected as a baller.  He will not see a defense any better than what he just played against. Probably will not take the beating against upcoming defenses that he just took.  I believe he is our future.  Now if we can get a coaching staff to utilize him to his fullest potential.

AA would have been sacked at least two to three more times than CK was.  CK stepped up in the pocket, moved around the pocket, ran when opportunities arrived, and did not have the panicky deer in the headlights freezing up thing that AA does sometimes for which there is no explanation!!!!  :puke: :puke:  There...that feels better!

onebadrubi

The biggest difference is CK can step up in a pocket that is collapsing by two DE's or OLB's, where the tackles are pushed back, the 3 interior Olinemen are holding their own at the LOS, AA would step back and those rushers from the edge where right there.  Well, CK with one or two steps up has a clean pocket to throw from and can see the field a lot better.  he also is so much bigger as noted by bama, that he can make some throws with people on him.  We saw him arm and wrist flick a ball that had some serious zip on it.

To add a "sig line" or "signature line": Go to your "profile" then go to "modify profile" then scroll down to where it says "Signature" and type in what you want it to say and then click on "change profile". That's it, you're done. Your sig line will only show up on your first post on each page.

He ain't that fast either.  And quickness he has not.

From Tusk Till Dawn

Razorback site has him at a 4.9/40

I think he could be a force if he can get comfortable but Auburn ain't going let that happen.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Works for me.

Yep.   He's one of those players that will frustrate teams because you think you've got him tackled short of the sticks but he falls forward and gets a first down.

We don't need a burner at QB.  We just need someone to buy time and make a play.

You are right.  Now, let's see haw many of their players get thrown out for targeting.

Anybody that thinks Auburn has a defense anywhere's close to Bama is trying to see something that's not there.  CK will not be intimidated by Gus' goons.

That was beautiful! I loved the way he got up so easy.

Especially seeing how the tackler was left writhing on the ground.

Then we need to reciprocate. They hurt our qb then we hurt theirs. Probably going to lose anyway. And we get to watch Malice-on melt down on the sidelines.

It was 1965 and Jon Bruttenum was our QB and a really good one. We were playing Tulsa and they
had 2 future NFL'ers in the lineup.  One Willie Townes. a defensive end  who later was All-Pro with Dallas.
In the 2nd quarter
Townes roughed Brittenum up and he had to leave the game a couple of plays.

The very next play, the Hogs famous play by play man, Bud Campbell came out of his seat saying Willie
Townes was laid out on the field and was having to be carried off. Who got to Townes? All-America
OT Glen Ray Hines?, our fullback, Bobby Nix or ??? One thing was certain back in those 22 game
winning streak days, was, you didn't "MESS" with the Hogs The thing about Cole Kelley is though, he
seems physical enough  to settle some of his own scores!

Just the threat of "knowing" he will tuck and run is enough to keep defenses more honest.  They have to look for it and respect it.  They just do not with Allen.  Then they have to tackle a tree.
