Nope, not mine. It is being tweeted around and I thought Hogville might like to know about him being picked.   WPS    :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback: :razorback:   GHG

I wonder whether Rafe will start this week, it being an important game and all.

Saving him for Mizzou.

Is BA playing himself into the NFL draft? Thoughts?

Or the SECCG after Charleston Southern beats them up so bad they lose to Auburn and we beat LSU.....

I, personally, think he is.  He may only get a short leash, but he's going to get a shot I believe.

No he wont start, just come in if we need his legs on a last minute game winning drive, you know him having shown he is a gamer.

That seriously had to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen on Hogville, the suggestion that RP should have come in for the last drive against Toledo.

He has WR talent that he trusts all over the field.  His confidence is through the roof.  He has always had the talent.  I also think he will get a shot, may be as an undrafted FA...but someone will pick him up.

Absolutely!  He is playing himself into a late round back up role behind a vet QB.  The greatest part of that is it gets him a little money in his pocket and the opportunity to make 6 figures the day he steps out of college.  He could easily make millions and a great lifestyle as a backup QB in the NFL for 10 years.

What is the LSU QB's name that Russel Wilson beat out, Matt flynn?  Dude has made bank off being a back up that never plays.

He's definitely playing himelf up the career marks at Arkansas.  Needs two TD's to tie Stoerner for second most in a career and 7 to tie Mallett's insane two year career.

He'd need to average 250 yards passing in his last regular season games and also in a bowl to catch Stoerner just a bit more to pass Mallett in career yardage.  300 yards/game would give him a shot at Tyler Wilson for most career yardage.

All of the players with similar career marks at Arkansas got a shot at the NFL, and I won't be surprised to see someone in the NFL give Allen a look.
Go Hogs!

I am thrilled to death for BA. He's been doubted by fans like me his entire career. I thought he was a very good QB but couldn't make the plays during winning time like he did against Auburn and Ole miss.
While our record still isn't very good, BA has had a 2015 season for the ages. He is only 524 yards away from the 3K mark with four games left! He has 21 TD to 5 picks! He has more yards and TDs than Dak Prescott!

Its a shame that we only have him for four more games.

Incredible comeback story very similar to our TE coach Barry Lunney.

Lol.. Looks like it was made back in the day with Angelfire.

BA did play great though.  He should get recognition for his performance.  He put together one solid game.

Many moons ago our computer guys was in and wanted to show me this cool "new" website. He typed in the name to anglefire but misspelled it result was a gay porn site. I just looked at him and ask "Is there something I should know about you?"

If Greg McElroy can hang around the NFL for 2-3 years and A.J. McCarron can do the same, then yes, BA should get a shot.

The biggest difference in BA the last two games is confidence. His confidence right now is sky high, and I think he'll stay confident the remainder of the season.

I'm trying to think what would limit him as an NFL prospect. He has the arm I think. He's tall enough. He'd have to put some more meat on his bones. I don't know where he would fit as far as "mental quickness" - that seems to be what separates the men from the boys as NFL QB's. It was Tyler Wilson's downfall, and Ryan Mallet's. Not sure about BA.

Aporkalypse Now

I don't see BA getting an NFL shot, and that takes nothing away from his incredible play the last few weeks.

Now that's ridiculous. Look at some of the guys who have gotten a chance in the league. The NFL is starved for quarterbacks, and a pro-style QB with Allen's stats and recent accomplishments most definitely will get a chance. Zach Mettenberger is in the league, for crying out loud. He isn't half the quarterback Allen is.

The recent flameout of a couple of the spread system type guys is also putting emphasis on fining a Qb with pro style skills too.

Confidence and the emergence of Morgan and Reed along with the return of Cornelius.

Congrats to Brandon.  He has certainly earned that award and more in my opinion.  I'm very happy for him that he was able to put together some clutch performances this year.  Regardless of how the rest of the season goes, he has shown he is capable.  I had my doubts he was going to get over that hurdle, but he proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier about it.  He has given the hog fans 2 games for the ages in one season.

Allen will get a shot in the NFL. Allen and former OU QB Landry Jones are similar players IMO.

Landry is bigger. But Allen is more accurate under center also.

If you saw the Cowboys game last night then you would know that without a doubt that BA has a shot at the NFL. The league is hurting for QB's.

BearsBisonsBoars

Cowboys need a qb, 49ers need a qb, Jets need a qb, Browns need a qb, Texans need two, Colts need a real backup, Denver is going to need one after this year probably.

There's no way he doesn't at least get a serious look.

If BA keeps showing out like he has I see no reason he won't get a shot. I think his decision making ability warrants a look, if nothing else. He's proving he has the talent now. He's proving he can put the team on his shoulders and make the big play. He can make the throws, he's accurate and he has some mobility. If Blaine Gabbert is a first round pick then BA should at least be a 4th-7th round pick just based on this season alone.

BA comes out of a pro-style system and is really good at protecting the football. He will definitely get a shot, and strikes me as a guy who have a very long career bouncing around as a backup QB.
