Need to read the article so you can understand his methodology in his rankings. I understand where he is coming from with these rankings although I am not sure that agree with his projected results in terms of numbers. Nonetheless a nice read and good fodder for discussion.

Which college football teams will excel in 2015 and go over their projected win total? Which teams will fail to live up to the hype and fall short?

The Power Rank uses data and computers to make accurate sports predictions.

In 2014, this model predicted the winners in 70.4% of games. With a large sample of 678 games, the model performed very close to the 70.5% win rate from the 2005 through 2013 seasons.

By this logic our P-5 schedule and who be the favorites would be as follows.

                    ARK     Pts +/-
ALA   20.91   12.14        9
LSU   13.97   12.14        2
A&M   13.87  12.14        2
MIS   13.36   12.14        1
TEN   10.49   12.14       -2
AUB    9.80    12.14       -2
MIZ    9.52    12.14       -3
MSU   8.73    12.14       -3
TTU    4.83    12.14       -7

It looks like, according to his Power Rankings that he feels we could have 7 games that could be decided by 3 or less points either way.

If I'm reading the article correctly, you neglected to include the +3 points for the home team. The revised numbers are:

First of all, I didn't start it...
Second of all, they were all still alive when I walked out

You are right, I didn't add 3 points for home field advantage. Good catch.

Based on that, I think (I certainly hope) that the 12 point differential attributed to Alabama is incorrect and the same with the 5 given to LSU.
