Just curious if any of you know of any similar hires ever being made.  Seems like we're in uncharted water with Men's Assistant, to TV Analyst, to Women's Head Coach.

This hire was made in men's basketball with a candidate with even less coaching experience and it worked out pretty well

I know Dykes referenced Hoiberg, but I'm looking for more men's assistant to women's head coach moves. Or long time analyst, never been head coach, leaving the booth to take any head coaching job.

Hoiberg is a good story and I guess it has the same home school, lack of head coaching experience story, but they have very different basketball backgrounds.
