I had the pleasure of meeting JJ at the Liberty Bowl media center in the Embassy Suites Hotel. He is very engaging and shared numerous sports experiences as a professional scorekeeper for NCAA, MLB, NBA, etc. Later on I googled and learned he is a Memphis sports icon and a real character.  He also maintains sports archives and does research. Pretty much a walking sports encyclopedia and promoter! He might just be a Bill Valentine and Rick Shaffer love child! Great guy....you should also google for some real interesting reading.
