Not really a surprise.  He always seemed like a 3 year guy to me.  Good luck to him in the NFL.

I miss the smell of the mud, grass, and sweat of the practice field. I miss blood oozing down your arm from the rip in your skin that was slashed on a guys helmet as you punked him at the line of scrimmage and put his dobber in the dirt.

Sucks to see players go, but this is a symptom of an improving program. 

Hope Kirkland finds success. 

The draft websites don't seem to list Kirkland in their projections.  Anyone see what kind of grade he's getting?

He's one that I do wish would stay for one more year.  But you can't blame him either.  Hopefully Bolles will commit and step into that spot for us.

This was the loss that, while expected, I have feared the most. He's a tough one to replace. I doubt I'll ever forget shouting for joy as I listened to him commit to the Hogs.

It's a shame DK doesn't have more experience at guard since that's where they're going to move him. I'm sure it's hard to project a guy playing out of position.

Assuming that Kiper has it right (lol) and he is indeed the fifth best guard in the draft that could land him anywhere from the late 1st to the early 3rd with my money being at the top of the 2nd.
