I understand I was wrong now, however the thought process that lead me there was that 1 game is the only difference between us going 7-5 vs 6-6. In that context 2 games over .500 doesn't make sense. That said the definition of "games over .500" is what it is, I'll own being wrong.

How many of you people that are bitching were going to take 1/2 a week off work and drive to Charlotte or Nashville? Not many  I  would bet. At least the Liberty will sell out and is on a Saturday when people can get to the game. I once thought of Memphis as trash until I moved here 3 months ago. I live downtown and love every minute of it. Great food, professional teams, nightlife,  and casinos (if you are in to that)

must admit I am not excited about the K State matchup.  And I noticed a few repeat games.  Ole Miss and OK State is a rerun too.  With all the bowl teams, why can't they come up with some intriguing pairings.  Oh Well.  I'll be there.  Go Hogs!

It's all about looking forward vs backward.  You can't be 7 - 6 on a 12 game schedule.  So there is a one game difference looking back to being 6 - 6.

But if you are 5 - 5 looking at a team who is 7 - 3 with 2 games to go you've gotta win 2 games to catch them.

Hey, this gives all those fans that want games in War Memorial , so they don't have to drive so far, a home game.  Plus Liberty Bowl Stadium is only place in the world that can make War Memorial look like Jerry's World.  Be sure and take warm clothes, ice scrapper and a 9mm.

In 2009 we were 7-5 (3-5 SEC) and ended up in the Liberty and finished 8-5. In 2015 we are 7-5 (5-3 SEC) and headed to the Liberty. Bad home losses kind of cancel out some big road wins in my opinion. On the bright side....and it is bright....at least the team dug themselves out of the hole and are going bowling. I know when we were 2-4 (0-2 SEC), I didn't think there was a chance at all that we were going to a bowl.

Bill Snyder is regarded as one of the best in college football.  He has dealt with as many injuries this season as we have, perhaps even more injuries to key players than we have (it seems like Snyder has lost 2 QBs to injury this season).

Snyder's Defensive Coordinator, Tom Hayes, will probably be the most experienced Defensive Coach that Dan Enos has faced.

To see what Tom Hayes is capable of, just have to look at our offensive stats against UCLA in the 1989 Cotton Bowl (Hayes was the UCLA DC).

Everyone likes talking about the myth of how Bill Snyder is some genius. But for a genius the guy doesn't have that great of a bowl record.

You know the weather forecast 26 days out? You should be working with NASA or at worst the National Weather Service. There have been many  days in this region with temps in the 50's and 60's. Just because the E Carolina game was cold several years ago on that one day does not mean the temps will be identical.

Peabody is the team hotel.  Rooms are actually pretty reasonable for that hotel while they last at $295 including tax per night.  Got our two nights reserved just now.  She said there aren't many left.  Ready to roll.....

Because they finished the season 8-4 and ranked #23 / that trumps a 7-5 unranked team everyday.
Unfortunately, 1 loss really cost the Hogs a better bowl this year.
I know some think we deserved a better bowl game / but a good second half of the season does not negate the lousy first half.
