ASU just go an invite to the Godaddy Bowl for the 4th straight year. How soon will we hear about the hogs invite?

I wouldn't expect it until next week.

There are still about 16 meaningful games that will affect the bowl pecking orders.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I thought 12/7 was when SEC would announce all bowl matchups.

Great for the Red Wolves! Might as well move it to Jonesboro.

The bowls in conferences that don't have championship games or aren't of any significance can issue their invitations.

This.  I think bowl assignments will be assigned once we find out if the SEC gets 2 or 3 teams in the College Football Playoff Bowls.  If we get 3, Arkansas is a shoe in for a Pool of 6 bowl.  If we only get 2, Arkansas could, although I don't agree with it, possibly be heading to Shreveport.

reddogjcss

If so for ASU Congrads! But I thought no one gets an official invite until 12/7/14

We're only going to get 1 in the playoffs, but could easily end up with 2 or 3 in the 6 bowl package.  That has an effect down-ticket, so to speak.

I figured Arizona St would have gotten a better bowl that that.

1 in the playoffs, but hopefully 2 more in the bowls the CFB Playoffs committee picks. The group of 6 are all SEC bowls, so we will get all 6.

All things the same I believe Mobile is a much more attractive destination than Jonesboro.    I don't think Craighead Lake matches up well with the Gulf of Mexico.

Good for Astate. Maybe next they will get invited to conference USA now that UAB is toast.

We'll be in Birmingham on January 3, and they'll be in Mobile on January 4. They are doing this on purpose.

They will next year when ASU goes 9-3 or better in the regular season and has another Sunbelt title.

SO...

Possible scenario... here..

3 in Sugar, Orange, and Cotton
Bama playoff, Miss State and Ole Miss

1 in Cap 1 bowl which chooses next  Mizzou or GA
Then the pick 6 bowls, Outback, Liberty, Texas, Gator, Belk, Music City
GA or Mizzou, Auburn, SC, Tenner, Arkansas, LSU, TAMU, Florida for these bowls

6 bowls, and 8 teams to choose from... 2 will go to Birmingham first, then Shreveport.  Yes, Birmingham gets the 1st choice period.

Arkansas will probably get stuck with the Birmingham Bowl from what I am hearing... Or Port... Tenner to Liberty, etal.

With Georgia Southern and Appalachian St. in their league, I wouldn't be so sure.

App St is a solid threat to ASU for sure. GS gets to skip both ASU and ULL again next season. Compliments of their daddy Karl Benson.

How's that for BS? App St has to play ASU and ULL their first year in the league, and maybe their second year too. But fellow newbie GS gets a two year pass from Sunbelt commissioner Benson.

The SEC gets final say on which of its teams play where outside of the CFP and New Year's Day 6.  Also the Capital One Bowl is now the Citrus Bowl again after Capital One became the sponsor of the Orange Bowl.

Pretty sad that ASU finished behind two teams transitioning to FBS from FCS and landed back in the GoDaddy Bowl yet again.  I guess the people in Mobile are getting used to the Wolves being there.

I think the chances of SEC getting in 2 let alone 3 are close to impossible.  The only way is if all higher ranked teams lose their conference championship game.

We're going to get 2 in the College Football Playoff Bowls (Sugar, Fiesta, Peach, Cotton, Rose, and Orange).  3 may be a stretch.

The playoff committee picks more than the 4 playoff teams.

It does nothing for the state for Arkansas to play ASU.  The U of A already makes the state as much money as any other business out there.  Arkansas is almost done playing in the dump known as WMS.  ASU better just start a rival game with UCA because they are much closer to there level than the Hogs.  Heck ASU is closer to community college level the The YOU of A.  They average around 20k at their games while giving away thousands of tickets for free and hundreds for $1 at Sonic.  ASU brings nothing to the table.  Congrats to them for getting to the same bowl game because the top two teams in their conference just came up from D2. Heck ASU couldn't even get in CUSA which is now basically the Sun Belt.

Back to the Go Daddy Bowl and the Sun Belt. The real travesty is Texas State ends up tied with ASU and USA. They shellack ASU by nearly 20 points and have a better overall record than USA but get left out of the bowl tie ins.

Not sure you understand ASU is FBS..UCA is FCS.. ASU's Rival is Memphis. Your argument is pretty stupid considering almost every state with 2 FBS programs play. This Arguement isn't just with ASU though..Nicholls State is in the same league as UCA..why not play uCA or UAPB when you need a FCS filler? just saying.

Well if things ran the way I wanted it would be USA sitting home while TX St was bowling. ASU and TX St were both 7-5. USA was only 6-6. The ONLY reason they are going is they are a "local" team. And btw, ASU bombed USA 45-10 when they played this year.

Georgia Southern put up more points and yards vs alabama in 2011 than anyone else that year, beat florida last year, and lost with 23secs left to now #11GT this year whos playing in the ACC title. App State was a perrenial FCS power like GaSo.

Just puttn things in perspective. These schools arent no slouch programs

On the defensive side it was bad. ASU lost several starters to injuries and had to play some kids before they were ready. Plus move a couple from offense to defense to cover the holes on the D line.

Plus it didn't help that one defensive starter was murdered and one dismissed from the team even b4 the season started.    Depth was lacking already so couldn't afford many injuries on defense.
