Happy Veteran's day to you vets even if its a day early.

Happy birthday to the United States Marine Corps and all you Devil Dog Hogs!

God bless you all!
Wins are the only things that matter when the game ends.  The mistakes that happen in the game are corrected by good coaching during the week. A season of near losses means you won every game.

Life is very hard for many Americans right now but Vets are being hit harder as a population that the general public in the area of employment and homelessness. The resources are out there to help them. We just need to do a better job advocating for them and helping the ones who have lost their way to get back on track.

They didn't go from happy, successful, family oriented, dedicated, hard working to unemployed and lacking direction over night and they won't regain their mojo over night. It's a process that requires a support system. Often times their spouse or those closest to them suffer from caregiver fatigue. It takes a special American who feels a desire to advocate for their vet to help get them back on track.

It's very easy to blame the individual for missing appointment or interview or class. It's easy to criticize their poor decision making but we need to recognize these guys have given what they have and their reserve was not enough to keep them going.

We all know Vets who do just fine and that's awesome. Thank God for those guys who can set an example. But not all people or situations are equal so we should not take a one size fits all approach. Apply your abilities and your time and your passion to helping just one veteran. Listen to them...Be patient and kind the way you would treat your brother or son. Give to a Veteran and when they return to form they will give back ten fold. Don't think of it as charity because we are not investing in them because of what they have done but what we know they'd be capable of if given the right chance.

Never Give Up.
"Here a question arises: whether it is better to be loved than feared, or the reverse. The answer is, of course, that it would be best to be both loved and feared. But since the two rarely come together, anyone compelled to choose will find greater security in being feared than in being loved."
