I remember driving to Beale AFB, CA shorty after I had joined. My wife, my 10 month old daughter and myself stopped at Denny's in Tucumcari, NM. We finished and I went to pay and they said it had already been taken care of and left me a message thanking me for my service. I was out of uniform and have no idea who paid for it...but I never forgot it.

From time to time some of us from the church I attended in Fort Worth would go out to DFW just to welcome back service men and women.  As a retired service member, it is an easy thing for me to do.  God bless them all.

Saw a story about a year or so ago about the DFW greeting party. Believe it was started by 1 specific gentleman who does this everyday.
