Cleo Floyd will be interesting this weekend. There were talks late last fall of him being a darkhorse, but talk kind of simmered down since then. Is there a complete list of visitors for the camp anywhere?

Don't know but I spoke with the one of the guy's in charge of that camp yesterday as my grandson is attending both the Specialists and Regular Camp and I think he said there was something like 350 spots and only 20 remaining as of yesterday. It is going to be a big camp and well attended. He said he expected the camp to max out in terms of numbers over the next few days.

I believe that anyone can go and watch. Specialists Camp is Saturday. Main Camp is Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Sounds like it's going to be awesome, and with that number of kids it seems we may make a stride in 2017 recruiting too.

Don't want to burst your bubble but there are different types of camps.  If they have 300+, this is a money making camp.  They might discover a few prospects to do more evaluations but they have other camps for actual prospects.

Damn! Sounds like an exciting weekend in Fayetteville with the Super Regionale and the football camps. Wish I was a little closer to HOGland...

Losing gracefully isn't taught in second-tier programs. See Arkansas, Cincinnati, et al.

While I do agree with what you are saying there are a few prospects coming to this camp expecting to leave with offers.

My grandson is only going into the 9th grade so he isn't a prospect. He is going for coaching and the experience. Grandpa is paying for this camp so naturally he is going to an Arkansas camp to be exposed to Sam Pittman and some quality coaching.

Ok.  I should have worded better and made it more positive sounding.  Fact is the big camp is for money and developing pride with people who love the program.  A few players attend these due to conflicts with prospect camps.  My point was directed to the thought that future recruiting might be looking up due to so many players attending the open to everyone camp.  A few are noticed in these camps but they are few.  350 attending an open camp might be an indicator of fan excitement but not for commits coming from this camp.  Commits come from the invitation camp that will not have 350 players.

You might want to read RD's updates. There are nonetheless a lot of kids that we are actively recruiting that are coming to this camp. Not 350 of course, but a pretty good group based on what I have read. No, this isn't a Rivals-like "the opening", "elite", prospect camp and I am not sure where you would get that idea? It is just the same University of Arkansas football camp that they have every year and yes, there will be kids there that we are recruiting.

He isn't impressively big yet. He's going into the 9th grade and according to the Doc that gave him a physical last week he is 6-1, 210. He is just getting started on a regular lifting program with his high school staff so we will see how he develops.
