How can u ask a coach to fundamentally change his style 6 years in to this job, especially when we hired him for that style. I don't think we full court press much anymore, bUT when we do it seems highly ineffective

Funny how this parallels football: just give me a coach that teaches fundamentals, gets his team prepared for the opponent they are playing, and put forth a representative effort each game.

That's all I really want at this point.

I'm not asking him to. I'm saying I think it would work better than what we've seen the last six years. And I could be wrong.

I hope Mike turns it around, I'd love for him to have success here.

But losses like Tuesday night that take you to a 1-3 SEC record doesn't have me too hopeful.

I have all the numbers in another thread, but CMA has averaged having a recruiting ranking of 7.8 in the conferences (rounded up to 8th place) and have finished the conference in 5.5th place.

Arkansas' 247 composite team ranking in the sec
2012: 9th qualls
2013: 4th portis
2014: 7th beard
2015: 14th Whitt 
2016: 5th barford
Avg=7.8

2017: 5th gafford
2018: 1st but expect 2 or 3 perry

Now let's look at sec finishes

2012-13: 7th
13-14: 5th
14-15: 2nd
15-16: t-8th

Avg=5.5

It's almost like a formula to predict how we're gonna finish in the conference:

Previous years recruiting class plus two

except for the terrible recruiting year and portis' year where it took 2 years.

So using that formula we'll finish 3rd this year in the sec or because of whitts year 4th or 5th

17-18 will be 3rd in conference
18-19 will be 1st

Your method is wholly illogical. I have been thinking logically about Arkansas coaches for 33 years, sonny, since my first year covering the Razorbacks.

Every basketball team is made up of as many as five years' recruiting results. You are comparing same-year recruiting rankings with that's season's RPI. Not only are the same-year recruiting rankings barely predictive, but the RPI also is a wildly inconsistent measure of performance.

Any given year's recruiting ranking is affected not only by the ratings of the players involved, but also by the number of players signed. If a team does not have many scholarships available, it might sign only one or two players. Occasionally, a school signs nobody. How do you project them, then, with your completely ridiculous method?
