A local radio station did a call in question asking listeners to name an actor that would best be able to play an SEC coach.  For example some callers called in and said Martin Sheen would make a good Nick Saban, Steve Martin as Bobby Johnson, and so on.  The one that almost made me drive off the road I was laughing so hard was when a guy called in and said Nathan Lane as Houston Nutt.  That was classic.  So now let's play the game.

I say Tom Hanks as Les Miles.  He'd just have to put on an LSU hat and dust off his Forrest Gump role and he'd have ol' Lester nailed.

A veteran is someone who at one point in his life wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for the amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor. There are way too many people in this country who no longer understand that.

Little known fact, but prior to settling on Guantanamo, the Pentagon wanted to house terror suspects at War Memorial Stadium.  It was deemed to be cruel and unusual punishment and in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Now the West

Patrick Wharburton (David Puddy) as Les Miles
Kevin Costner as Tommy Tubberville
Charles S. Dutton or a Slightly Younger John Amos as Sylvester Croom
Al Pacino as Nick Saban (Think Devil's Advocate here)
Aaron Eckhart as Houston Nutt  (He is great Two Face and as Nick Nailor Tobacco PR guy)
Christopher Meloni as Bobby Petrino (Italian American tie in here) or
James Gandolfini because once he puts his program together a lot of teams are going to get whacked.

I think he would be good if it were an animated version, but Croom calls for an actor with more depth and gravitas.

Isaac Hayes certainly looks like him.

I dunno, to me, Aaron Eckhart looks a lot like Tommy Tuberville

I can kind of see Nick Saban as Al Pacino (Saban has less etched of a face though)

Steve martin would play a great Bobby Johnson

I like Patrick Warburton but more as a Houston Nutt (He could play Les Miles if he gained a lot of weight)

Kevin Costner is TOTALLY Mark Richt.

I'm going as much on acting ability, general characters they play, and aura they give off as those characters as much as looks.

Although with Puddy as miles I was just thinking of Puddy's big Melon with a little cap on top.  Also Puddy doesn't need to gain weight to play Miles.

I guess that angle has them there just fine.  I guess Miles just looks fatter during press conferences.

I thought that was Jason Isringhausen. Would be good since neither knows how to finish off a game.

Not sure who this actor is but he would make a great Houston Nutt.
