The other two Hoop Planet players from the Atlanta area--Jalen Kendrick and Jumail Jones. Dudley recently did a feature on them.
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

I also believe we are very interested in a JUCO PF. I think his name may be Ricardo Ratliffe or something like that.
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.

Also, we've offered:
DeMarco Cox (Down to us and Bama)
Jalen Courtney (LSU Commit)

We're interested in:
Andre Stringer
Ricardo Ratliffe (I'm betting he has an offer but unconfirmed)

I finally found where Cox was offered  (not that I dont believe you)  I see where he might want to play both football & basketball in College.  He holds an offer from Alabama already for both sports.  Does anyone know if Petrino has any interest in this kid?

Petrino has offered him as well.  He has stated that he will play basketball for sure but not ruling out football.  He will name his school this summer and will base it on basketball first.  But he has publicly stated several times to Rivals.com that his final 2 are Ark and Alabama.

According to Rivals, we've offered Malcolm Armstead http://arkansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=93341

Also, for 2011, Adonis Thomas http://arkansas.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=86933

Is Armstead a 2010 recruit? I was under the impression he was an 09 guy. According to Rivals he committed to Oregon today...

Scout has already done their Spring Evaluation and update of their rankings.  Rivals has not yet.  Expect Clark to be at least Top 50, probably very close to 5 star status

ml2200

Rivals updates are out.  Cameron Clark is a 5 star, and Luke Cothron and Joe Jackson are as well.  Rod Odom, Tarik Black, and Demarco Cox are all 4 star.  Cory Joseph is a 5 star as well.

jackflash

Say the Hogs can only take three, who would you want?

ruarealhogfan

I updated the Rivals column.  The changes are in bold.  Big changes were Cory Joseph from a 3* & #110 overall to a 5* & #6 overall, Luke Cothron from #17 overall to #9, Jelan Kendrick from a 4* & #26 to a 5* & #11, Cameron Clark from a 3* & #138 to a 5* & #22, Mychal Parker from #76 to #34, Rod Odom from Unrated to a 4* & #44, Tarik Black from #61 to #46 & Demarco Cox Unrated to a 4* & #52 overall.

I believe ESPN is supposed to do their update sometime next week...

RazorAg

ruarealhogfan, we've offered Cory Joseph (confirmed by Scout) and we've offered Andre Stringer (confirmed by Rivals).     Both are longshots.

ruarealhogfan

Updated Dundrecus Nelson (6"0) PG who is now an Ole Miss commit...

RazorAg

ruarealhogfan, you can add Terrence Durham 6-2 185 combo G out of Memphis Craigmont and K.T. Harrell 6-4 205 SG from Montgomery, AL as recruits we're looking at.  No offers confirmed at this time.

Also, I don't think you've updated us offering Cory Joseph and Andre Stringer.

RazorAg

A few more notes: Preston Purifoy is unranked 3 star on Rivals; Donte Williams is no longer ranked in the Rivals 150.

mbgrulz

Cameron clark will be in nwa this fall playing Fayetteville and rogers.

Updated the ESPN column.  The Super60 has now been updated to be the new ESPN100.   Major changes on our list were: Luke Cothron went from a 90 & not in the Super60 to a 95 & #32 overall, Joe Jackson moved from #22 to #18, Cameron Clark went from unrated to a 95 & #30 overall, Mychal Parker moved from #31 to #16, Tarik Black went from a 70 to a 93 & #88, Stringer from an 89 unranked to a 94 & #68, Jamail Jones from unrated to a 93 & #78, Rod Odom from a 90 to a 93 & #96 overall & Dundrecus Nelson (Ole Miss commit) from a 70 to 93...

The true big man seems to be rare these days.  In the new ESPN100 list there are 2 guys listed at 6'11 or taller (which probably means there are really no players 6'11 or taller of the top 100.  Which is why we need to get Borden on campus & get him ready to play in the SEC...

ruarealhogfan, I'm not sure if you have subscriptions to Rivals or Scout, but if you don't, you won't find that info.  I can assure that you that there multiple articles from both Rivals and Scout citing that we've offered both Stringer and Joseph even though their profiles may not show an offer.

More info for you.  Dundrecous Nelson claims an offer from us (reported both by Rivals and Scout), although he committed to Ole Miss.  Here's something new, 2010 F 6-6 200 Rashad Perkins from Starkville, Mississippi stated in an article today that Arkansas has offered him.

We were spoiled with size under Stan Heath... Seven footers are rare in college basketball. There are plenty of seven footers, but not many who can play well enough to be on scholarships. We should consider ourselves lucky to have a possible seven foot prospect like Anthony Borden.

Gross.  Why would they want to be part of a bottom feeder of the Big XII basketball team (in Nebraska, no less)?

Oh well.  If that's what they really want..........

i'm not saying that's what they want. i think that may well be their best offer when all is said and done, unless the hogs strike out on Wade, Cothron and others. They don't appear to be on our "A" list, plus Ole Miss, also reportedly interested in them, just got a commitment from a higher rated pg.
Hoping the Hogs basketball fortunes change for the better this season.
