If so, that's pretty fouled up. Bagmen and $500 handshakes are one thing, but yikes.

If no one involved comes clean, I bet OM would just say "there just happened to be some loose young ladies around during these recruits' visits...and, well, boys will be boys."

They could say that, but that's really skeevy, and puts them right up there with Baylor, or at least should, for all fathers of daughters out there.

Not trying to brag or make anyone jealous but I can still fit into the same pair of socks I wore in high school.

I don't like to use the word 'conspiracy' but this situation at OM seems to be one. So how deep does it go? As far as the people all the way at the top, I see three options: 1. They're in it up to their chins. 2. They're really stupid and didn't see what was going on. 3. They turned a blind eye.
Now, I'm not much on option 2. They had a huge scheme going on and anyone with any sense at all knew this beaver-mimicking SOB didn't stroll in and start pulling the top croots in the nation without some $help$. I mean, it's Oxford MS and he's a high school coach who had some dim-witted athletic freak show up at his doorstep when some OM boosters wanted to up the ante and start paying players. Yeah I'm looking at you, Tuohy.
To get back on track here, that leaves us with They Were In On It or They Knew. So you pretty much have to burn down the entire university.
It's probably going to take a long time for everything to come to light but when it does the nation will be stunned. Well, except those of us who knew they were full of ish all along.
I'm predicting a new holiday in Starkville.

Saint Freezus'es Day or Saint Freezus Day. Whichever.... I was thinking the former, because no one want's it to be mistaken for some sort of racial thing...

I'm disgusted, but kinda excited. Now I'm disgusted that I'm excited.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the NCAA do one of two things concerning Ole Miss football:
1. Drop the hammer on them to the tune of ... 2 year ban on post-season bowls, 2 year ban on SEC championships, loss of X-number of scholarships over the next 3 recruiting classes, a serious limit on off-campus recruiting visits and staff contact with recruits, and a total probation length of up to 5 years.

or

2. The NCAA continues to show why they are a bunch of ineffectual eunuchs, and they go lightly on the Rebels, accepting their self-imposed 1 year bowl ban, and only take a small handful of scholarships for one or two classes.

I'd recommend the first option, but I doubt they'll listen to me.

Well if they take the second option then I'm cashin out my 401k to start buying players. I think I can afford a shoe after penalties

NCAA reply is in since Friday, could be released today. This story not only is the gift that keeps on giving, it does it at a pace unmatched by any scandal (outside of trump) ever.

Death penalty for the football program and maybe a lost of charter.

I'm sure there have already been attempts to connect the timing of the escort service calls to specific team events, and/or recruiting activities. That would be the first rabbit hole an investigator would explore. Give it time. There is no way a kid that age could keep quiet about his "night to remember". Until then, the departure  of Freeze is just an internal OM matter.

I don't know about the loss of Charter but with 21 violations and now this mess with Freeze, I don't see how they can escape at least a 1 year death penalty.

Isn't attending OM and having to live in Oxford penalty enough ??? ::) :-X :-\ 8)

I know nothing but I expect Freeze leaving will have a mitigating effect on whatever sanctions the NCAA had planned.

You see what they allow UNC to do, hard to see them being hard on Ole Miss after that scandal.
