If Shaddy keeps this up and keeps hitting the way he has , he will end up starting more often.

You would think so, but I just don't know what kind of receiver he is.  I think that is a crucial part of catching and could be worth 2-3 more wins in the span of a collegiate season.  I'm talking about the type of catcher who can steal a couple calls a game that most other catchers wouldn't get.

The thing I will be watching for this half inning will be to see how Spanberger has adjusted.  He was absolutely fooled the first AB by the splitter, but just about every freshman this early in the year would be.
