It sounds like some on this thread are actually intimidated by A-State. Why else would there be so much vehemence from some. If you don't think they are in the same class as the Hogs, ignore them like we always do.

I'm not itimidated by them. I think we can have 2 division 1 teams in the state. This is not a problem. What they have going for them is one great coach. LAst year, I even heard the drive Time guys admit Coach Roberts was the best College coach in the state. O.k. rant over....

to the point Skeeters would be an appropriate name.

85 percent of the reason I didnt go to Arkansas for college was because of what the University was attempting to do to ASU...   Untill you fellas recognize that there are actually 3 and a half division 1 schools in the state, then there is no point to this

Im a little confused here...   In 2003 Alabama was the SEC West's best team, but they couldnt win because they werent eligible, so Arkansas won.  But Arkansas was 5-3  and bama 7-1

In 2005, ASU UL Monroe and UL Lafayette all finished with 5-2 conference marks.  Monroe however had a bad loss to a 1AA school in their, and wasnt eligible as a result.  so ASU wins.  Yet somehow, Arkansas won the SEC west in 03, and ASU didnt deserve the conference in 05, despite finishing with the best record.  Im confuzzled

I hate the University of Arkansas as an institution...but I love their sports teams, what can I say.   I would never want my kids to go to the UofA...but I wouldnt mind if they became razorback fans.   confusing huh?

There's a long story on how the Saudis ended up at ASU.   They're relatively good people (and a good lot of Kuwaitis go to ASU as well);  fit right in with the anti-drinking, anti-gambling crowd of Ft. God Arkansas.
