Did no one else see Meeks hand out of bounds on that jump ball call?

Another blue blood championship. Ho hum.

Terrible waste of time tonight. Congrats UNCheat.

Horrible champ game outside of the score being close.  Williams Goss and Karnowski missed too many close opportunities.  This tournament seemed predestined for UNC.
Quote from: MaconBacon on March 22, 2018, 10:30:04 amWe had a good run in the 90's and one NC and now the whole state still laments that we are a top seed program and have kids standing in line to come to good ole Arkansas.  We're just a flash in the pan boys.

It was very much out. I don't know the rules on that but it doesn't seem that should favor NC in any way, unless you are a ref

HogBreath

Just announced, the ref was the MVP of the great tournament run for the heels.
I said...LSU has often been an overrated team.

That ignoramus Draconian Sanctions said..if we're overrated, why are we ranked higher than you are?

Most boring title game I've ever seen.

I was thinking the same thing the whole game. Boring as fluff.

cobra kai

Refs completely ruined this game. I kept wanting to turn it off all during the second half.

I guess the check presentation ceremony is private.

Why do Hog fans keep saying we had zero chance against Kentucky? We should have beaten the team that beat them

Actually, Arkansas, if it could have shot a decent percentage from outside would have been right there with Kentucky in the SEC Tournament Game.
The more smites the more intelligent I get.

Didn't we get blown out by Kentucky...twice???

alohawg

That shot by Florida was easily the best single moment. Other than that, worst tourney in recent memory.

Hmmmm..  ditch the NCAA?  And who then would regulate NCAA athletics?  If you think it's bad now, try allowing a group of ADs from power 5 conferences wielding power as they see fit over every other program!  It won't work!  The NCAA isnt perfect but I don't think the answer is in ditching it.  How about taking some of the billions college sports generate and hire more bodies so the NCAA CAN do its job effectively?

The NCAA leveled five charges against NC including lack of institutional control in June 2015.  That was nearly two years ago.  How much time do you need?  It's not lack of money, it's lack of desire to punish these big time money makers which puts more money in the NCAA pocketbook.  So, the question remains, is it better to have no NCAA or have an ineffective NCAA when it comes to punishing the big boys?
There are all kinds of Lions, Tigers and Bears in college football.  But there is only one Razorback.  Beware the Tusks!!! They are coming

It was somewhat satisfying watching Altman get beat.
Honestly I didn't know who he was when we hired him...hate everything worked out like it did because he appears to be a damn good coach.
Quote from: mckinneyhog5 on April 07, 2019, 10:29:55 pmGuys, we have hired the BEST coach that we could have hired. Musselman is gonna rock it here like we haven't seen since the early 90's. Just sit back and watch it unfold! We WILL be a nationally recognized program again soon.

Its pretty standard-- about 2-3 years from the final notice of allegations;  part of the North Carolina situation is that the details keep getting worse.

People complained about the same issue with the USC under Carroll investigation-- and nothing has changed.   Don't expect a word on it for another year and a half, at the absolute minimum.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

I would say the refs blew us out more than Kentucky did in both games.

I am sure you would. To you the Hogs, under Mike Anderson, have never lost a game that it was not actually the refs fault.

They've lost plenty the refs had no impact in. Again, deflect as you do. I would much rather see the Razorbacks lose a game on their own merits than those of someone else.

when a team loses by 20+, it isn't the refs. The refs had nothing to do with either of the loses to Kent this year.

Do you really think that's a game I'm talking about? Funny that's where you would go. Clearly I am not blaming the refs for our loss to Kentucky. I watched the second half of the first game, and while the second game was a bit one sided, it was not the reason for our loss. Minnesota was another one where we just didn't come ready to play. I didn't get to see the Vandy and Mizzou game so I can't comment on those two.

All this deception and coverup and lies started with Dean Smith, who some believe was actually Mr. Wrestling II (I've studied the pictures. both had prodigious noses and their builds are the same...voices slightly different but close enough. Dean would raise his leg up at critical times during games, as though he was performing his million dollars knee lift, another dead giveaway.

It's a shame that the NCAA let him get away with it when they had to know.  And now the cheating legacy lives on and now all of you are celebrating this dishonest university today.  It's sad really.
