Perhaps the most intriguing player on A-States roster is walk-on OL transfer Tyrell Reed (6-5, 345), from Henderson State.

No one seems to be sure what the story is, but Reed, who had an impressive offer sheet out of Mount Dora, Fla HS, apparently enrolled but did not play at Henderson State.

Did a little further digging on line, and it appears the player was the real deal out of HS, and was a solid P5 prospect, and apparently is still on A-State's team.

One can only speculate, but academics were most likely the issue out of HS, and the only comments by the A-State coaches are that he is "one big human being".

A-State is expected to be much more talented on the OL in 2017, and if a player like this comes out of nowhere and contributes that will be a big plus.
