Gafford is way ahead of Moses Kingsley at the same point in their careers. He is gonna be a star for us.

When he is a sophomore lined up with Reggie Perry, we will be very hard to stop.

I don't think he will ever be a great shooter but I think he can get to the 38-40% range.

38-40% is great from 3pt. Ky Madden shot 40% and 38% his junior and senior years. Garland could get there by his 3rd or 4th year.

I guess but the college 3pt line is so short if a guy is a great shooter he should be above 43% unless he is a one man offense and has to put up a lot of shots.

Hannahs and Macon are at 39%. Pat Bradley's career average was 40%. Thurman's was 43%.

For reference, Malik Monk is at 41%.

He's an elite open-court player, talking as good as any 5-star out there in terms of combining ahtleticism, skill, and finsihing ability when he is in transition. A lot of guys lose their ball skill and touch when they explode to the hoop, so if they don't dunk they don't always finish. Khalil is one of the best open-court finishers in HS.

I agree, he's going to be one helluva player. Darious Hall will be, too. ZERO doubt in my mind this is MA's best class to date at Arkansas. Portis and Kingsley made up an awfully good class, but really they never excelled together, so it's been almost like having one great recruit for 4 years -- BP as freshman/soph, Mo as junior/senior.

I know what you mean with Garland. Guys like Fortson, BJ Young, and Jaylen Barford were amazing at finishing at the rim. Garland seems to have that same knack.
