that's what I'm talking about Eldrick grinding over every putt....the other guys were out there for fun, surf, turf and some good food...Eldrick is out there thinking he can actually win...time has passed the man by...will he ever be in contention again for a regular PGA win, yes, Tiger still has a lot of ability, dare I say he's 95% of what he used to be, its just that while Tiger was beating fat white guys (circa 1997 to 2010) who smoked, drank and generally partied most of the time while on tour, the kids out there now are in their mid 20's, fit, strong and are just as good if not better athletes than Woods ever was during his best years. And Woods in his broken down about to be 41 year old body is going to beat them ?  Maybe in the minor events once or twice during the rest of Tiger's career on tour but not in the Majors. One thing Eldrick has to look forward to is in less than ten years he gets to beat the ISH out of the same fat white dudes he beat while he was doing his thang in the late 90's into the 2000's...oh well, mother nature is hell, isn't she ?
I though it was your opinion that Jack and the rest of the fat white guys would have killed Woods back in the day?

Back in the 70's? They might only have killed the boy if he refused to caddy for them or polish their spikes maybe.  ;)

Guess he led the field in Bogies too since he finished at a paltry -4 for the tourney.

I think he led the field in doubles.

I have never recognized Tiger as anything other than the second best guy to tee it up in the sport of golf. It's you guy's who just can't shed your 'white guilt' who, despite the records of the men, still say that Woods sits atop the history of the golfing world. I seriously doubt if the races were juxtaposed that any of you guys would say Nicklaus, with the inferior record was the best player. And if Jack had 14 majors and Eldrick had 18 and I tried to make the case that Nicklaus was still the better player it would be guys with shid for brains such as yourself that would start in with your cries of "racism". Now go on, leave me alone in your lame attempts to discuss with me a game in which I could give you a 1/2 stroke a hole for a 1k a hole and make a small fortune off of you, because you show your ignorance about the sport. One of my bucket list wishes would be to watch you hit a Wilson Staff Tour Blade 6 iron made in 1974 using the old Titleist Black balata ball off the deck and see if you could even get the ball airborne post 50 yards. My guess is that you would ruin the ball first swing putting a 'smiley' on the ball and after maybe 5 swings you'd give it up.
The long Grey line will never fail our country.

I guess. I don't hate the guy like you and East and 69'r do. He had some pretty decent shots. And some pretty bad ones, too. I did hear him say, "stuff", after a bad shot. So I guess he should get a spot in Trump's cabinet. :)
Yea, they had some extra-sensitive microphones for this tourney. Maybe since it's silly season, they were experimenting with equipment. They picked up several 'utterances' on tee boxes(I heard one from Tiger and one from Patrick Reed), but they also picked up loud splashes on some water balls you don't normally hear.

Weird bucket list you have there.

Harold Varner III won the Australian PGA this weekend.

Google him if you don't know who he is.

(Much more likeable than Tiger)

if you don't think this generation of young golfers isn't partying their ass off, you're out of touch.

They don't even try to hide it.

Also, I doubt TW ever plays senior tour golf. Not his thing.

The thing about choking on Sunday is that once you do it a time or two...you start thinking about it more and more, and it happens more and more.

76 on that course?  This wasn't Oakmont after two months of no rain.  It was the worst round played all week.

Is there something like Viagra for golfers with performance anxiety?  Because if you are blowing up at the Hero World Challenge, what's going to happen at Augusta and the U.S. Open?

A stroke in the middle of your backswing.

I don't doubt they party.  But do they all make it rain on porn stars like sex is going to be outlawed, all the while ignoring the game?  Let alone practice it?

Are you saying Garrigus won't still be on the senior tour then?

He's ageless.  Will still be dominating the regular tour well into his 70s.

I'll give him one thing, he's incredibly consistent.  His win totals don't wildly swing up and down like some guys.

This story made me literally laugh out loud.

http://www.cbssports.com/golf/news/tiger-woods-moves-up-nearly-250-spots-in-official-world-golf-rankings/

even such a critic as yourself has to admit that if he continues at the current rate, he'll be #1 again in about 3 weeks!!  :)

Yep...all it will take is for him to win one meaningless off season tournament and they will promote him back into the #1 spot in the golf rankings.  ;)

A better question is why does a silly season event enter into the OWGR numbers?

It's an automatic top 20.  Remember back in the mid 90s when Arnie won the Senior Skins a few times?  If OWGR points had been assigned in that case he would have probably been ranked somewhere between Brad Faxon and Hal Sutton.

But they'd still have all been behind Garrigus..

Saw today where he's set to play in the Genesis Open at Riviera in Feb.  Had a pic of him and looks like he's hitting a TM driver.

Did you say there was video on TMZ of him getting hit with a driver, is this new?

Guess you lost me RP. Don't know anything about him getting hit with a driver.  I just saw on the internet where he committed to play in this tournament.

I was trying pull a funny, I thought his ex hit him with a 4 iron on something back when he had his "wreck", sorry I didn't succeed.

No, numbnuts.  He said that Tiger was allegedly hitting on the driver of his courtesy car and now he's being sued for sexual harassment.

LOL!!!  Gotcha!  Went right over the top of my head.  Guess that happens when you're still a tad hungover but when you're retired you can feel that way late in the afternoon.  ;)  Still a newbie at this retirement gig but loving it so far.
