Teams with the most appearances in the AP Top 25 during the past 20 years- could you get the top 10?

Can you guess the leaders by conference? SEC? Big 10? ACC?

Glad our coach is represented...........just wish it was for the school that now employs him!

Also a few of those just shows what a good or bad coaching hire or two can do.
If I'm going to cheer players and coaches in victory, I damn sure ought to be man enough to stand with them in defeat.

I have to admit the one program that really shocked me was Kansas State. Imagine who bad they would be if Bill Snyder hadn't coached them (twice) through undoubtedly their best records in history. Otherwise not sure they'd have won a 100 games over 20 years.

Georgia is on way too many times to not finish in the money. Reminds me of the John Cooper era at Ohio St.

I think "Beamer Ball" often gets overlooked for their consistently. It just never seemed like a program that was on the A list of recruiting.

People forget how bad KState was.  It's somewhat shocking that they have an overall losing record of 509-631-41.

I made sure not to look at whatever graphic that is because I wanna give it a shot. Top ten:

Alabama
LSU
Georgia
Auburn
Ohio St.
Oklahoma
Oregon
TCU
Va Tech
Texas

Those last two I pulled out of a group of several. Well, I guess I will see how I did it now.

Oops. Last 20 years...not ten. Well from looking at the list, I might have added Florida and Florida State and bumped TCU and maybe Oregon out. I don't know. But close enough.

In the past 80 years (1935-present) Kansas St. has had 16 head coaches, only 2 have winning records.  Bill Synder is both of those coaches.

He's bipolar too?

he retired, Prince took over lost 20 games in his 3 years, they hired Synder again

I'd say that list pretty much mirrors team recruiting rankings with a few outliers.

They were, prior to Snyder, the worst football team in the history of major college football.   Even now, they're still deep in the hole win-loss wise, despite him.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

No one else wants to take a guess at any of that without looking at the list first?

Anybody know what our number is?

Our overall record is 702-480-40.  According to winsipedia we have spent 411 weeks in the AP Poll (all time).

Florida is the most surprising.  if they could just get some type of consistency in their coaching that monster is going to wake up.

That would be six years each of Spurrier & Meyer. Have to figure they were ranked each week for those 12 years.
