#2 Arkansas Razorbacks vs. #1 Texas Longhorns
Disch-Falk Field (6,649 capacity) -- Austin, Texas
Start Time:  Sunday, June 4 -- 6:00 P.M. CST

Austin Regional Championship Game

Not sure who is going for either team tonight.  I'm assuming Shaun Seibert for Arkansas.  Could be anyone for Texas, maybe Randy Boone.

Lets get this fricker going.

Bomis Hawg

Unless something freaky happens, I'll be there start to finish.  No problem.   If I wasn't doing it here, I'd still be doing a scorecard.

Been there done that, as far as not being able to listen.  I'm trying to get it going now.

hillbilly

You are right, Seibert is going for the Hogs tonight.

artyhog

Works for me Bomis.  You have done a great job.  I'll be listening and watching.

Bomis Hawg

Is anyone getting different auido via Yahoo?

Bomis Hawg

OK, I guess they were letting us hear Ole Miss?  Anyhow, lets get those show on the road.

hillbilly

Boone is pitching for the Longhorns as well.

I feel a little sick.  we are looking very very bad.
Walk on through the wind. Walk on through the rain.
Though your dreams be tossed and blown,
Walk on. Walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone.

I was hoping the exchange between the assistant coach for Texas and DVH last night would fire us up.  Apparently it fired up Texas.

artyhog

The Hogs have 8 more at bats.  They can do it.  DVH will keep them up.

Talk about a punch in the face!!       :puke:      C'mon Hogs, lets get back up and work some magic
WPS!  Don't give up, plenty of ball left.

WilsonHog

Given such a large deficit early on, the key now is to score some runs and make the Texas bullpen work so that our position for tomorrow afternoon will improve.  We'll have to hope that Boyce and Schmidt can get us through anyway, but it would help if we at least made their pitchers work a bit tonight.

The Hogs needed to score something this at bat.  They did.  Now the pitching has to settle down.

hognelson

Maybe not Dynasty, but it is still waaayyyy early..

Everyone doesn't need to give up on them this early into the ballgame. There is still alot of ball left to be played and they can comeback from this, don't lose hope in them yet.

Bomis, just another thanks for what you do here for us.  Other forums are very lacking, you are the teets!!

WilsonHog

The reality of it is that we've just about given up all the runs we can and have any legitimate chance of winning.  Given that fact, the only question is whether our bullpen can shut Texas down for the next seven innings. Our track record doesn't lend much hope that we can.

Bomis Hawg

It's a tall order.  I hope that Josh Smith can hold it down for a while.  Not sure they go very deep in this game.  Maybe you go, if it goes to tomorrow, with the committee deal -- let each pitcher come in, if Boyce tires out, and get a couple of guys out...or until they throw more balls than strikes.  Just a thought.

OK here is my logic.  Of course anything can happen, but let's be realistic.  Barring something crazy this game is over.  Best case scenario is to pile up runs and dig into their bullpen.  If we can start getting runs, 2 here, 2 there, we can hopefully hurt their pen for tomorrow.

9-1...who is piling on runs now???  haha!

hogfan98

i'm not one for quitting, but can we forfeit now and save our arms?

Hogs need to get 2, 3 or 4 runs this inning.  They can hit this pitcher.  Just need to get the bats active.

hawgula

Let us not forget, the HOGS are in the winners bracket. texass needs to win two. This game is a long way from over. GHG AR ;)

I can't see him pitching at all tomorrow, although it all just depends on how he feels then. He threw 120+ pitches yesterday so there is really no way to tell.
