One of our senators said that about thirty years ago when asked why he voted for a bill that was very unpopular in Arkansas.   Then he proved it by being re-elected a year after saying it.

This is what's wrong with Razorback Sports.  It is far too easy to con the average Razorback fan.  They get away with crap here for years on end that wouldn't fly for a day in most places.  You want the Hogs to be good again, like they were oh, forty or FIFTY years ago?   Well... when's Haley's comet coming back around?  Gonna be a LONG time.   Too.Many.Suckers.

Well according to some posters on here the BOT, Chancellor, University President and of course, the AD are far too smart and intelligent for the average Hog fan. Means nothing if you're contributed to the RF, any other level of giving or even if you've been a life long fan. Your voice means nothing. So there motto to the average fan appears to be "Treat them like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and feed them a steady dose of bullish#t".

The biggest problem with Arkansas is we do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. We must figure out how to develop talent within our own borders and Long needs to move on!

Yes, and we tolerate bad hires for far too long.   There should be NO fans at games at this point.  I do not believe that there is any other fanbase in the P5 that would allow their school to retain BB through this season.   But here, as soon as he beats Coastal Carolina, the people paid by Jeff Long in the media and online will come out of the woodwork saying how we have to keep him, and there will be no real uproar.   Things will go on as they have... because our fan base will take the ABUSE that the UofA dishes out.

Okay. So what tangible, proactive measures are you going to take to show these "terrible" administrators that, by God, you won't be conned anymore?

Again, since EVERYTHING in this world revolves around money, the stadium being empty for the remaining games for this year is a moot point.  The tickets are sold, the "contributions" made and the money is in the coffers.  Yep, would obviously affect concession sales but otherwise it doesn't matter.

Now, if the current situation does not change, next year is when the statement can be made.  If the stands are empty because the tickets weren't sold and the "contributions" dried up and there was no money in the coffers, that would make a statement and those in charge would take note.

Until that happens the actual game day attendance means nothing relative to the $$$$.
Conservatives have always proudly proclaimed themselves to be conservative.  Liberals are now "Progressives"?  Must be terrible to have to hide what you really are.

I like smites.  That's how I know I'm really pissing off the "Progressives".

I quit donating a long time ago.  Used to go to away games and everything.  Not for years.   That's how it should be.  But here, they can throw dung on the masses forever and our fans will eat it up.   Its not something that's going to change.  Its just how it is.  Lightning struck once when we lucked into Petrino.  Maybe it will happen again some day.  That's all there is to hope for.

We been a cursed program and had Ark Media folks attack us for demanding better.
If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
