Those are some awful races.

used to be time to watch the trainers  those cheap races especially state breds sometimes pay boxcars     By the way has Bruce Riecken won at a price yet this year??  he normally has one or two at a price every year

I completely agree. I tried to put together P4 tickets I was confident in and I would be over $200.  Then watch and favorites win.  Not risking it.

I go through and mark what I think can win and then I add up the cost. I don't bet what I can't afford to lose though  If I think the risk/reward is there I take the shot. You look at that sequence I have numerous 10-1+ morning line horses.  The 5th race has 2 first time starters and the 6 horse 5-1 which is by far the best horse that has already run.  The trouble line for the last race is a complete joke.  I bet the horse last out and watched the race and the replay.  He wins easily if not for the trouble. The trouble was coming off the turn headed for home.  If you want to know go look up the replay.

The P3 3 could pay $300-400 if I get the right ones.  I am confident I will at least get back $62 if I hit it.  Then I can wheel that into the late P4 if it pays nice.

Oh I don't necessarily disagree with what your doing, I just meant I need your bankroll.  Two kids, law school, etc don't allow for your kind of bankroll. 

However, for me I wouldn't play that kind of ticket still without a single or if it was a huge race day and betting into large pooolsnlike Breedwrs Cup or something like that.

Allows me to play more combinations and combinations multiple times.  A,B, and C are just preferences.
