There are rumors that Beni may be on his way to his home town team , the Reds, in a deal for chapman. I'm sure that will be just fine with Andrew.

I'm a Red Sox fan and I would be very conflicted if that happened.

Fenway Park needs to go. Time for a new ballpark. Those small dugouts are gross

It's time. Quit getting stuck in past. Yankees even moved in from their park bcuz it's the time to update. Boston should do it as soon as possible. But they would rather pay an average pitcher jn Porcello 100 million and a washed up Hanley Ramirez gets 88 million
Which has nothing to do with the ballpark.

I would hate this trade. I'm a Cardinals fan.

Would be nice to not deal with chapman lol.

Well, I think if this trade goes down, Benintendi would be a PTBNL since a player has to stay with the organization he signed with for one year from either the date he was dated or was signed even though everyone will know it will be Benintendi.  Same thing happened last offseason when Trea Turner was the well known PTBNL in a trade with the Nationals and Rays and Turner officially switched teams last summer.

Yes it does your funds can go to the contruction of a new state of the art ballpark. I've been Fenway and thought it was the most overrated experience in my life for a ballpark. Red Sox are the 3rd richest team in baseball so use that income on a new ballpark

THey'd rather just have the clubhouse to be an open liquor store during games.

No longer the case.  Can be traded at the conclusion of the WS.

I'd do the same. LaRussa's a nutjob and would probably throw at his head.

Well Red Sox traded for an overpriced one inning reliever but not Chapman and Not the wonder kid from Arkansas in the deal. But they got the overpaid one inning specialist Craig Kimbrel that has limited postseason experience.
WADA!

Cincinnati makes me puke. Most overrated bunch of players in memory.

And it's called hitting not walking Votto.
That's brutal. .314 29 HR and a .459 OB.  It's not his fault that they put stiffs in front of him in the lineup.  There's nobody on base to drive in.  Ruth and Williams walked a lot too (no, he's not that caliber of a player).

As a Cub fan, it would make me cringe to have to root against him.

On Ruth and Gehrig and walking, the year that Ruth hit 60, Gehrig still had 103 base on balls. And he had 173 RBIs. The latter impresses me, given that 60 times Gehrig came to the plate after Ruth had cleared the basepaths. Of course, Ruth also walked a lot, 137 times, so that meant Gehrig frequently came to the plate with at least Ruth on base. Still, those are some astronomical numbers.

Will be a big mistake for Boston. They are a franchise in shambles.
