Never understood why he didn't use Murray more

Because the offense they ran wasn't built for what Murray did at Dallas. Chip doesn't put his QB under center and run off-tackle. Philly WRs weren't commanding the attention of safetys (Dez factor). Chip's QB alignment doesn't give his RBs a 4+ yard head start before taking the ball. Philly likes to use read option, and run outside zone, but no self-respecting defense bit on the fallacy of Bradford keeping the ball and running with it. Give DeMarco a few yards to build steam before taking the ball, and he can plow forward like few others. But Chip's offense doesn't allow for that to happen, keeping the QB in shotgun and/or pistol, nor does it allow for the QB to audible into another formation at the line.

Chip didn't/wouldn't adjust to what made Murray earn $8 million/year.

I used to argue with HA about how Pel ran the basketball team.  I've since learned to like and respect him.  In fact, I'd go as far to say that HA is well connected or extremely perceptive. - Porkatarian, 11/7/12

the Eagles couldn't wait one more week?

They get a head start on Black Monday. Chip had already lost much of the locker room. Agents of various interested coaches are now at work.

Never ever figured out why Kelly traded for Bradford.  That just seemed like a marriage made in he11 from the very beginning.

Kelly wanted Mariota. He wasn't going to be able to trade up to #1 or #2 using Nick Foles. Bradford was at least a former #1 and had a great (healthy) rookie year. A trade was never struck. Foles offered no upside, and both Bradford and Foles had one year left on their contracts. Decent gamble, based on the alternative (Nick Foles for one year, extend Nick Foles, or draft a wild card rookie late in the 1st or later and invest 2+ seasons at minimum).

This. He should also stroll around a few campuses...just to, you know, burn some of his free time before he lands his next gig.

He could just make multiple appearances the next couple of weeks on college football sets wearing different team color ties....

Wonder where that guy is that was on here propping Chip Kelly so hard a couple of years ago.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.
