and would describe Marshawn Powell as to becoming a very good smooth and fluid player.

The other big improvement, besides Mike Washington's health, is the play of Marcus Britt.

He is becoming a player that you do not mind seeing the ball in his hands, and as he gets more playing time and game experience, I believe his point production will also go up.

Britt doesn't make plays. He just doesn't give the ball away. That's better than Welsh I guess.

Must have been some other guy wearing #12 who hit the 3 ball after RC missed a FT on the intentional foul call, to turn a 1 pt game into a 4pt game.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

What exactly does it take to become a "fluid" player?

Melting!

Could we perhaps just hydrogenate them?  Melting seems a little harsh.

The defense must continue to improve. The effort has been there...

I'm still looking for Glenn Bryant to develop. He is a freak athlete with unlimited potential! That could push us over the top, but I expect it will take a while for him to get into his full potential.

Could take years. Hope you're not the impatient type.

I used to argue with HA about how Pel ran the basketball team.  I've since learned to like and respect him.  In fact, I'd go as far to say that HA is well connected or extremely perceptive. - Porkatarian, 11/7/12

hydramatic, and in control, IMO

I think if the core of our lineup is what we started against bama then we will be ok. I think britt should start in farmers spot. I also think britt should shoot a little more when he gets the chance.

I dunno.  Of all the guys, he has the best shot selection-- maybe he has a better grasp of what he can do, and what he can't- maturity a lot of our other 'shooters' could stand to have.

I think britt is the type of player who is the ultimate team player who thinks before he does things. I think he tries too hard at times on offense to not hurt the team. Sometimes it is good to be a little selfish.

ive never seen britt be a player that "got to get his" kind of like welsh does a lot when everybody is scoring and he's not.  and britt plays great team ball and dont take bad shots.

every shot i have seen him take has been a good look that should be taken and yes his d helps out a lot.

i like him in the starting lineup.

The Boar War

I have been surprised with the growth of this team.  Starting with the UAB game Powell began to settle into his game and quit picking up the touch fouls that plagued him earlier in the season.  Britt has really picked up his defense in the last two games and seems to have greater confidence in his shot.  Mike Washington seems to be healthier and has accepted the fact that a pass to an open Powell is better than a forced off balance shot.  If Farmer and Bryant can come along to provide effective minutes we might win more than the 6 games I predicted.
