I'm going out on a limb.  My pick for SEC upset is Kentucky over Auburn.  Nationally, Michigan over tOSU.

jcbville

I like both of those picks. And to borrow a phrase from Coach B, Kentucky upsetting Aub would be borderline erotic. Us upsetting them would as well, but it actually wouldnt have near the shock value as Kentucky doing it. Their heads would explode.

Not sure how big of an upset it will be this year but I got Kentucky over Florida. How many years straight has KY lost to Fla?

Nationally: How about Utah over Oregon.

Kentucky last beat Florida in 1986. 28 straight losses. That's hard to fathom.
First of all, I didn't start it...
Second of all, they were all still alive when I walked out

South Carolina over Georgia, Minnesota over TCU

South Carolina over Georgia wouldn't be much of an upset.   To me it would be just what Georgia does best.   Lose to teams they shouldn't.
If a man speaks and no woman is around to hear him, is he still wrong?

What about my other one?

If people can call Arkansas over Auburn an upset, i think USC over UGA would qualify as well

Minnesota over TCU to me would be an upset.   I just don't put much into richt when he faces a better coach.  His team will be more talented than almost everyone he plays this year.  Similar to every year and yet he finds ways to lose games he shouldn't.

Arizona State over Oregon, nationally.

Florida over Georgia, in SEC play.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

Lake City Hog

In the Pick'ems I had Louisville over Auburn for about a week, then changed it.
I'm just not sure if Louisville has the D to stay with Auburn on the road.

Entertaining game, nice way to start college football season.

lefty08

not sure #12 over #1 is a huge upset

I do however wish i had a buck for every time "this is bog boy football" was said during the broadcast

and an extra dollar for every time i laughed about it

For the record, at this point in time, us over AUB wouldn't be an upset. Vegas opened us up as 6 point favorites over them. Now it sits at about 1.

wildhogman

Dunno if beating Aubbie is considered and upset going by what I have read so far. But I bet the biggest upset that day when we beat aubbie will be Guz's and the aubbie  fans stomaches.  After reading their comments on a quote from CBB, they truly think they have a shot at making the playoffs. And Guz will be sick because he knows his seat will start getting warmer.

It should be an interesting season in the SEC, and also interesting nationally.

I am not for sure there is any Defense that will be able to contain Clemson's Offense.

Augustus

I'm calling for:

Va Tech to beat tOSU in week 1...

Bama beats Wiscy, Ole Miss, and Georgia... and is ranked #1 heading into the Hogs game.

Hogs win at Tuscaloosa

LASLOPHAWG

ASU over TAMU and W. Kentucky over Vandy.  All other SEC teams win this week.
Upsets:  BYU over Nebraska and Michigan over Utah.

DeltaBoy

Georgia wins the East and the Hogs win the West.

Nationally  Whiskey over Bama and VT over TOSU

South Carolina won't beat UGA.  And TCU should be in the playoffs this year.  They're loaded.  They'll run Minnesota off the field.
