not really there is plenty of evidence to support this existance . too many od the witnesses are very credible people. the patterson video is real . too many experts have seen it and stated that it could not have been faked. the footprints have been looked at by foot specialists and many have said they were real . especially the one with 2 broken bones showing'

If you want to read some frightening things, do a google search about the accuracy of eye-witness testimony.

Hawgon

If there was a murder in your neighborhood, and regardless of the truth of it or not, an eyewitness said, "I saw HuntingHog kill him", you are going to have some trouble if you don't have an alibi.  Eyewitness testimony is plenty good enough to put people on death row.

On the other hand, if he said the same thing but it turns out that there was no murder in your neighborhood, then he was crazy, lying, or mistaken.  That is where we are with bigfoot eyewitness accounts.  Those that don't believe basically take the position that since there is no such thing as bigfoot, then all eyewitness accounts are either lies, mistakes, or made by crazy people.  But, if there was a bigfoot, then instantly, they would be taken as legitimate sightings of an actual animal.

Look at the difference between many bigfoot accounts and most UFO accounts.  UFO accounts tend to be of lights or objects in the sky and while many are somewhat specific as to shape or size, never can an eyewitness actually state categorically what he saw.  He can't identify it.  On the other hand, many many bigfoot eyewitnesses positively identify an 7.5 to 9 foot apelike creature walking upright on two legs.  Many of them are at very close range and many can describer hair color, texture, muscles and so on and so forth.  I doubt there are that many liars or hoaxers out there and most of the sightings are detailed enough as to preclude them being another animal.

I do see your point, but UFO's are by nature unidentified. People that see aliens, are witnesses to seeing aliens. Which, is a rather large stretch of the scientific imagination like bigfoot. If you have netflix, watch the monsterquest on black panthers, and look at the idiots trying to justify pictures and videos of house cats as large mean panthers. I blurted out "house cat" to my wife within 2 seconds of each thing shown on that episode. Yet these people still swear they are looking at something else.

Bigfoot might provide a very, very interesting view into the human psyche if it's ever proven true/false.

guys . there isn't much chance of mis-identifying a bigfoot , only a bear can come close to the size demensions . and if you've ever been up close to a bear you know the difference. a bear can't walk far or run on 2 feet. his front legs are short and when they do walk on 2 feet the tend to waddle. many of these sightings are from hunters and i would trust most to know what they saw . also police have also reported seeing them up close . again this animal more resembles a gorrilla except in the fact that it does walk more up right and it's stride is much longer . alost half again as long as a human and the depth of the prints suggest 2 to 3 times heavier than a man walking on the same ground. now in no way do i believe this is a missing link . just a form of unknown animal/ape. many , many people over the last few years have studied the patterson tape . experts in special effects have all said that in 1967 the technology to create such a costume was impossible and even if one could have been done the cost would have been astronomical. especially with the swinging breasts and the torn calf muscle . also foot experts say it would be impossible to fake the huge footprints . there is no way to get the heel toe balance to be natural . in todays world we might manage it but not back then .

Monsterquest, black panthers... plain as day they are housecats. You are giving rednecks way to much credit.

Even from the wiki this isn't true, the tape is highly debatable. You seem to have only read one side of the reviews.

You site Wiki as a source, but discount the accounts of seasoned hunters?

When they can't identify a housecat and claim snakes are jumping out of the water to get them... yes, i most certainly discount the accounts of seasoned hunters. Sorry if this offends you.

I didn't i quoted stan winston. It's a quote.

I've met lots of good hunters and fishermen from Boone and Carroll county, and quite a few of em read on about a 2nd grade level. While it might not be entirely their fault, i seriously doubt they have read any literature on properly identifying fauna in the arkansas wilderness.

i just saw a Bigfoot outside carrying a black panther under one arm, he was running fast. I think he was chasing the Easter Bunny.

Obviously another case of mistaken identity.  The Easter Bunny isn't out for almost another month.

What is the difference between Bigfoot and an intelligent blonde?

There have actually been sightings of Bigfoot

bxw21

One day, a blonde bigfoot's neighbor goes over to her house, sees the bigfoot crying, and asks her what happened. The bigfoot said that her mother had passed away. The neighbor made her some coffee and calmed her down a little and then left. The next day the neighbor went back over to the house and found the bigfoot crying again. She asked her why she was crying this time.

''I just got off of the phone with my sister, her mother died too!''

I stumbled across this website a year or so ago. Found it interesting and stumbled acorss this report that leaves me a little optimistic http://www.gcbro.com/ARcla002.html   In the same river bottoms on labor Day weekend that year about midnight our cook table, ice chest and food storage box at our camp site was destroyed in seconds. Then we shot the tent full of holes from the inside out, loaded up and went home. Went back the next day to get our gear. All food products was gone, gear scattered everwhere, and tent torn down. Of course we probably tore the tent up getting the He!! out of there. Could have been a black panther, unicorn, or a pack of mongrel raccoons I guess. We did see a cougar near our camp the night before. First one I'd ever seen. I've always assumed it was the culprit.

Check out nps.gov/applications/morningreport.  The March 23 report is of a man arrested for permit violation leading a group of 30 on a bigfoot expedition around the Buffalo River.  They were camped at Steel Creek access in February and paid the leader $300-$500 each to look for bigfoot.

Didn't know there were any alleged sightings around the Buffalo...apparently enough for folks to part with $300-$500 each!!  :)

LOL.....This is funny.  Looks like the leader was cited for....."engaging in a business without a permit"........nabbed by Park Rangers.

He failed to get his.... "Bigfoot Searching Business Permit".........before ripping off these foolish suckers for $300-$500 apiece.  What a group.........the leader is a con-man.....& the customers are idiots.

Too bad they had to take off running and not get a good picture. It was a bear.

Hawgon

It pretty obviously wasn't a bear.  It was either a dude in a suit or a Bigfoot.

King TUSKankahamun

Obviously a bear, and I am a bigfoot enthusiast. You can tell by the arm length and how they are being held. Bear got curious as to what was going on and stood up

im not sold on bigfoot.  i dont write the possibility off either.  but after seeing that video, if that was indeed a bear, it was a damn big bear.  i honestly did not think it looked like a bear but the shot was so short.  not that i can blame them, i woulda been OUTA THERE

i'll go and say this though, the reason i lean towards not believing in bigfoot is that there are so many high-quality game cams now days, I figured we would catch one on a game cam by now.

tophawg19

look at the arms hands and shoulders . that isn't a bear . can't tell about the face . watch the slowed enhanced HD version

Hawgon

It didn't stand up like a bear and it's shoulders were way too broad for a bear.  Watch the slow mo and how it stands up.  It stands up like a man would.  It bends at the waist.

David†

Cover this bears face and you basically have the same image.

Hawgon

It very well might be a dude in a suit, but it is no bear.  It doesn't stand up like a bear would.  It squats back on its haunches and then stands straight up.

David†

If its not a bear, it has to be a dude in a suit. I am positive it's not Bigfoot, they don't exist ya know. Now a chupacabra is a different story.....

David†

I am not however against getting my Bigfoot research permit and charging 30 people 300-500 bucks to go out and look for Bigfoot over the weekend.

That is no bear. Shoulders much much too wide. It is either a hoax or the real thing.
