Seems kind of quiet, any chance as some kind of NBA contract?

What do you think?  He would have to play the 4 at 6'9 and I do not think he has the skills.  Maybe over seas?

J-Five

His hope is overseas...for the time being.

Think about it....two years playing backup to Portis, one year learning his role, and this past year trying to get comfortable in it.  If he's gonna make it in the pros, he's got some catching up to do.

Long term Mo is a D League or Overseas guy, but if he wanted to play on a NBA Summer League roster someone would take him. Maybe teams are still finalizing rosters and he'll end up with a spot.

NWAHog479

Surprised he's not on any Summer League roster...

This. I think he is weighing his options.  Moses was a top 100 draft prospect. No way he isn't on a Summer League roster if he wants to.

Why would any one not want to be, unless they already have an overseas contract?

Per Zach Harper on twitter (@talkhoops), Moses is on the T'Wolves Summer League Roster. It also shows 1st round pick Justin Patton on the roster but they announced this weekend that he broke his foot and is out indefinitely. Hope Moses gets some minutes and can show some things.

Wolves are pretty deep in the post, so little shot to make a roster, but I could see him thriving in summer league and ending up in D League next year. Their depth looks like this in the post.

C Towns / C Aldrich / J Patton
PF T Gibson/ G Dieng / N Bejica / A Payne

Payne and Aldrich are both candidates to be moved.  There's a spot in the frontcourt on that roster to be had, if someone can impress.

Not a good sign with all the front court already on the roster and he is sitting on the bench right now. I hope he gets enough minutes in the summer league for another team to give him a shot on their D league to develop.

Hogs49ers

He was really efficient in the 6 minutes of play he got tonight- 1/1 for 2pts, 3 rbs, 1 blk

FYI - The Timberwolves summer league team plays in 5 minutes (7:30pm CST) on ESPN2 for anyone wanting to watch Moses play a bit.

Aw Moses was a DNP coaches decision tonight

I don't see how anyone who has watched him play at Arkansas over the years could dream he would ever step foot in an NBA game.

Yeah a 6'9" post only player is like a dinosaur in the NBA now.

He would have to be able to shoot an NBA 3pt shot, or have someone really desperate for post help.  Just not many teams fit that profile at all.  D League is the best he can hope for this year, or overseas but alot of those guys overseas can shoot so he should rather stay over here and develop a shot really.

He's got all the makings of a developmental D and 3 type.  The question will be adjusting to slightly longer range than he's shot in games-- but he has a legitmate jump shot.

He'll play in the G-League, and get a shot at making that move.

Dr. Starcs

He has a good mid range touch, but calling it a jump shot is a bit of a stretch, no pun intended.

MountieDawg

Derek Willis got a NBA contract today... Moses will get one.

And people will still not want to give Cal any credit. Willis developed into a solid contributor on a good team.

Good for Kingsley! Belgium probably a pretty sweet place to be a young man making money playing hoops.

He's a fringe NBA player, I'd like to think he's not making peanuts.
