You can only sign 25....  Who exactly should we have left off for the other 2-3 OL???

We have 3 OL coming in and more on campus than we have had in the past 7-8 years.  They have already said they wanted to sign at least 6 OL next year.  Whats your beef?

Shag... HIM is an IDIOT that knows nothing about the Program... He is a Donghorn Blower that likes to stirr Up trouble... Just smite him as often as you see him... and move on

Listen guys, how can you take anything seriously from a person who claims to be a Hog fan yet has that crappy orange avatar?

He does seem to be everywhere though, I agree.

What we did in the last month of so of recruiting was very impressive.  Next year, I would guess that we are well within the top 25 classes, and as Hogger said, none of these classes mean jack until they step on the field and prove anything.  2007-2009 will show us how good this class really is

No intelligent recruiting service will ever rank any Hog class in the top 20 overall or in the top 6 in the SEC until Nutt & Co. actually do something with them on the field. That is, start winning more than you lose in a season and in conference. Nutt has a 8 year SEC record that is below .500. That is pudding that the recruiting services look at and use to pre-judge our recruiting classes.

Until Nutt figures out how to get quality O and D linemen, we're doomed to mediocrity and being bent over and rammed once a year like last year's USC game.

Let's see that 8-year under .500 record in the SEC would translate into a .850 winning percentage in the Small-12.
Today - we are in the SEC.
Today - our recruiting class is what it is.
Tommorrow - we will 'em up against the higher rated classes and win more than lose in the SEC.  Mark it.  Winning days are ahead.

HDN addressed this o-line question yesterday. He recruited o-lineman good the last couple years and feel comfortable with what is on campass and what is coming in. There were more important needs this year. They planned on signing three and they signed three. He said next year would be another big o-lineman push because we would have a bigger need.

As for the under-sized D-lineman you mentioned.......that is what RH wants. Guys he can bulk up over a year or two (which is when most are projected to start...or seriously compete for that starting slot). Guys who already have that natural speed and agility. When RH was interviewed yesterday all he mentioned was speed, speed and speed. Not mass, mass, and mass. He wants guys that are very athletic and very fast. That 300lbs o-lineman can't block you if he can't keep up with you! He said he wants a mixture of guys who have flat out closing speed (horizontal speed) and guys who have flat out vertical speed. I am sure he will put a couple (meaning 2) big heavy guys in the middle to be strickly big run stoppers. But this is RH's defense and he know what he wants and I am certainly in no position to challenge his thinking. After all, he did have the #1 ranked defense in all of college football at NC St (or NC whichever if was). He also said that if you look at the top 5 college LB's and DE's every year, they are all usually around 6-4, 250 and run a 4.6 40.

I realize I'm new here, and HogInMemphis, you can smite away, but if the Horns avatar weren't hard enough for me to swallow, I haven't read a positive post from you in the last three months of reading these boards.  I would love to just "avoid your posts," but you're everywhere.  Listen, I can understand skepticism, but this is the first week most of us have felt even cautiously optimistic about Hog football in a long, long time.  HogInMemphis, there's no one else on here that is so consistently down on our program yet spends so much time here.  90% of the time, the pessimists will be right in this world, but just give us a little break until the season starts and we lose a few.

I'm everywhere? They are 50 posters, at least, who post much more than I do. I go days and weeks without posting. You see what you want to...you want to see my posts.

Breaks are for winners so I can't give you one. And the Hogs probably are not going to catch a break either as long as Nutt is head coach.

What were you doing when OU was kicking your ass every year?!!!

I bet you were wanting Mack Browns nutts in your hand because he couldn't win the big one.  But now you are sucking on those nutts now that they won anything at all.

What were you doing when Nutt went 9-3 his first year?  I bet you were loving him like your gay porn collection.  Teams have bad years, Nutt has had two.  He finally decided to move the ship and give up some resposiblity.  Let's see how he does.
