I started to copy-edit his "story," but there were so many grammatical errors I quit. It's obvious he's not smart enough to no the difference even if I explained it to him VERY slowly.

What bothers me most is that this passes for sports "journalism." This is a hatchet job. A piece the author designed to personally attack another just because he didn't like his suit or his hair, or the accent he developed. I find nothing humorous about his piece because it was written by a man who has obvious self-esteem issues and can only feel good about himself when he's attacking others. I feel sorry for him. I also feel sorry for the people who read his writing and think that's what a "sportswriter" is supposed to do.

This is what's going to happen when a fan base as classless as Tennessee's becomes good in basketball.  We've been seeing this from them in football for a while now.

Lets compare schools.  This happened to us a few years ago down at LSU.  No one was happy about it but the blame went to both Ferguson and Brady.  Certainly no member of the media decided to mention the altercation and then continue on for the other 3/4 of the article talking about how stupid an opposing coach looks and acts.

I love his line: How it started is up for debate but the fact that Smith scored 32 in Knoxville and 16 at the tournament probably had a lot to do with it.  I'm guessing that he didn't see the trips down the court before Pelphrey said anything to him.  Smith was talking then.  And I guess he didn't read the post game interview at Knoxville where Pelphrey was nothing but complimentary of Smith (after he scored 32 points).

As I said before the rest of the article is nothing more than a hack job.  I really am surprised he left his mother out of this.  It's likely he has no memory of motherhood considering he congealed in some Knoxville street gutter. 

Why MSU decided to include this in their Scout site is proof that the Bulldog's are as classless or that they simply can't read.
