For nearly twenty some odd years now we have had a bunch (thirty or so) of folks over to our place here in Tulsa to watch the Super Bowl.

Each year calls for the making of 5 gallons of a (family recipe) chili for the citizenry which is usually drawn down to about a gallon when all the plastic bowls are finally thrown in the trash. A few times down through the years we managed to put too much garlic in the mix and the next day you could really tell who ate our chili.

Six tall cans of beans
seven onions diced and fried
15 pounds of ground chuck
four cans of tomato paste
1 1/2 bottle of chili powder
1/2 bottle of fire sauce (They don't like it real hot)
5 cloves of garlic
three cans of water
two packages of Williams Classic Chili Mix
etc. etc.

Oh, something that is in the works that I forgot.  The next door neighbors to the Malzahn family are going to be in attendance Sunday. My thought is that eventually this will be a avenue to have Coach Malzahn come also. One can hope.

If the South should lose, it means that the history of the heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youth will be trained by Northern school teachers, will be impressed by all of the influences of history and education to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision.

Thought we could have a little fun with this.  I know there are a number of you guys that would jump at the chance to meet Coach Malzahn. So, if we are able to get him to our home we could have some type of lottery, raffle or the like for interested Hogvillians to arrange such a meeting.  We could pick say one or even two winners and they would be invited guests to our home with their wives.  Of course it will not happen this Super Bowl, but maybe something later on in the year. What do you guys think?
