Grant Gunnell should shatter the Texas High School Passing Records Next Year

Just a couple of fun stats to thrown around.....  I know everyone wants him and the family is well aware of that so it will be interesting.

He is currently around 9-10 on the list if the stats are correct after last Saturdays game.  When you look at the numbers a few things stand out.  1.)  he has played in less games this year then others because one game was cancelled and one game the other team forfeit and didn't show up, 2.) In other games he gets pulled at half or early in the 3rd cause they are winning by so much.   He threw for 10 TD's in a game earlier this year which is 1 short of the state record of 11. 

He has some excellent receivers and 1 is a stud committed to Florida St and is a top 300 WR.  I believe most of the WR's are coming back next year but they do lose some OL & DL.   This is also the guy who caught 26 passes in 1 game earlier this year.  (State Record)

If my stats are close he has 11,350 passing yards and 142 TD's. 

The Texas High School passing record is 14,408 in yards and 184 passing TD's.   

He has a chance at shattering both records.  The past 2 years he has around 4,900 yards for the year and that would put him around 16,000 passing yards and another 60 TD's would put him at 200 or so (give or take).....

Just incredible numbers for the kid.

#4 on the list is the team that beat St. Pius earlier in the year.  Shaun Taylor is a good QB and will play somewhere for sure.  Also look who is #11 on the list...
