... the TE who was chosen Mackey Award winner, first team All-American and more importantly, all-SEC first team over DJ Williams?

QuoteNORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. -- Massachusetts State Police searched the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on Tuesday night in connection with a possible homicide. A source with knowledge of the investigation said police spoke to Hernandez on Monday. About 10 police cars flanked Hernandez's home shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday night and numerous police officials entered his house.

Hernandez is not believed to be a murder suspect, according to a source, but a vehicle rented in his name has emerged as a key piece of evidence in the investigation. The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro, Mass., reported on Tuesday that police identified a rented 2013 Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island license plates in connection with the possible homicide. According to the paper, the vehicle is registered to Enterprise and investigators were hoping to analyze it for fingerprints. A source said Hernandez's name is tied to that rental vehicle.

A jogger found the body of a 27-year-old Boston man on Monday in an North Attleboro clearing, less than a mile from Hernandez's home...

He may have some involvement in a murder case.  http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9424056
If true how dumb can you be.
Good point. Then again, perhaps he's just following the lead of good decisions continuing to be made by "Johnny Football".

Dude, sorry you misinterpreted my intent as it was meant as a sarcastic comment. I apologize for not indicating as such but I was hoping it was fairly obvious.

Perhaps. Then again, I'm just curious about something. While I fully acknowledge the tragedy of the charge Hernandez is facing, and obviously the murder itself, are you more upset/offended by my crack about AH or JF? Just asking.

Even with what I know or have heard about the whole case from various news/internet sources when I saw the police had discovered his apparent destruction of his home surveillance cameras I immediately said 'Oh, no". The young man is in BIG trouble now. That's a major red flag for something".

Whoaaa. I thought he might be charged with being an accomplice. Never thought he'd be charged with murder. How dumb do you have to be to leave a body a mile from your house???

Nipsey Mussle

Why in the hell would a well known nfl player get involved in something like this? Hire someone to hire someone if it's that pertinent to kill the man. And for God's sake, don't leave the body a mile from your house

Sounds like it wasn't premeditated to me. Probably the result of a stupid argument or scuffle.

Then again, if he left the body a mile from his house, I doubt he's bright enough to figure out who to even call to make a contract killing. He'd probably pick up the yellow pages and look for exterminators.

Just the comparison between what Football has done and Hernandez being arrested for fighting and fake ID and lasps of non criminal good judgement and murder or accomplice there of are at the opposite ends of the spectrum..

Lol indeed. If it was a scuffle he could end up spending only 10 years on 2nd degree murder. Being high profile, they'll probably give him whatever the max penalty is.

Some of you are amusing.  Isn't he STUPID enough just for killing another human being based solely on the premise that unless they're threatening your life and it's in self defense, there's no reason to resort to that?  Geez...  The way some of you talk, it's like you store a wood chipper, furnace, and gallons of sulfuric acid in your garage to make your murderous activities more intelligent.

Usually, it's the person with less that murders the person with more in something like that.  The deceased guy was dating Hernandez's fiance's sister or something like that right?  It's starting to sound like some sort of Jerry Springer type situation gone wrong.

I just don't understand why someone making that much money has ANY reason to want to kill ANYONE for ANY reason unless he was being immediately threatened.  DUMB.
I've never wanted a Hog coach to be successful more than I do for Pittman.  He's one of the good guys.

He's donezo.

Camera's destroyed, caught on camera with him the night he was killed.

He may not have pulled the trigger but he was there.

That's shocking- everything I'd seen up to this point was that he would be charged with "obstruction of justice" not the murder itself.
Inside every "older" person is a younger person wondering what the hell happened?

I think everyone here agrees that murder is terrible. I'd hope that goes without saying. And, yeah, he's a lot worse things than "idiot" for resorting to murder.

But I think it's pretty common for people to break events like this down into "what was he/she thinking" scenarios. If nothing else, for the catharsis of rationalizing our own feelings.

This is an obvious ploy by ESPN to get Tebow onto the field in his new tight end position.  Hernandez didn't do it, Scott Van Pelt did.
