Dec 21 - SMU staff free from SMU responsibilities and their roles can be defined although that probably won't happen until one of these later dates:

Dec 29 - Virgina Tech and Washington States bowls are done... Galen Scott and Alex Grinch are available.

Dec 30 - Texas A&M is done... Chavis available

Jan 2 - Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU, and Clemson are done or likely done... all their DCs are available... in the event it's Venables or Stoops and they win then it's wait another week. (for I don't want Stoops and don't see that hire happening)

The SMU staff's current contracts expire on the 31st so I'd expect some announcement on them first.
