Twice when I clicked on a subject I was redirected to another site. Anyone else experience this? Happened in jump ball both times. When I close it and click the second time it takes me to the right subject. Weird ....

Maybe you have a virus. Run your security scan.

Check the DNS settings on your router, especially of you have an older Linksys router. You could be getting routed through malicious servers, and an antivirus program WILL NOT detect it.

The only way to fix if it is the router virus is to update your firmware and/or disable remote admin functions.

Following up a little, if usung a wireless router, it coud be infected and the DNS settings changed.

If you have been experiencing pop ups or redirects on multiple PCs on your network, I strongly recommend checking the the DNS settings on your router. A typical virus scan will not catch this problem as the problem lies at the server itself. Basically, you are being redirected to malicious servers that are causing the pop ups and redirects. It also can seriously affect your connection speed.

Listen to the man. Many redirected are do to adware  and or a virus. Just got one 2 weeks ago after my antivirus updated to a newer version and it affected windows file explorer and was running my cpu  @ 98 to 100% and it usually runs @ 32% max. Just loaded an image I created after I set my computer the way I wanted and everything is back to normal. Good Luck!

I would recommend a couple of programs to download and run on the computer.

I am assuming it is a Microsoft computer:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Then the best I have found RogueKiller:
http://www.adlice.com/softwares/roguekiller/

Download RogueKiller from the adlice website (local) - that way you get the latest definitions.

I just removed all off-topic banter, including one piss-poor suggestion.

If this happened on your work system, you need to contact the IT people that support your work network.

I would also go with the other suggestions in this thread, as well.

FYI, I personally recommend eSet (antivirus) and SpyBot Search and Destroy (Anti-Spyware).

There are no redirects being utilized here... occasionally someone drops a link or embeds a picture that can have issues... so pay attention to the link(s) you click on here (Hogville) when you get redirected. Start a separate thread in the help forum and include specific links to specific threads where you got rediercted and I can dig into those.

???

I clicked on the gridiron forum just now. No redirects by browsing around there or any other forum here for that matter.

It's doing the same to me as well.  I've been redirected to several different sites, all while reading the jump ball forum.  I'm on a public wifi connection at a hotel.  Is this a virus?

If you can't follow my instructions above, I can't help track it down. :)
