I'm not in the Pel debate, but that was total BS.  The Hogs might not have made the shots down the stretch, but the refs cost us ANY chance of winning that game.  We might not have won, but we had NO chance with the calls they made in OT.  A potential 6-8 point swing, IMO

I agree Pel isnt perfect but when it's 8 on 5 it wont matter what you do

Great effort tonight HOGS!!  Proud of the way they played.  Need to find a way to close these out though.

I am glad the announcers finally called it like I was seeing it. That was some serious home cooking. Arkansas looked like a D1 team at times tonight. I just dont understand the collapses we have under any pressure.
I think what confidence they have is very fragile.  When they get behind early, they play loose and just get after it. But when it gets close at the end, they get tentative and play scared.  They have no real solid on court leadership to help steady the ship and get the right play.  It is so maddening.  They looked really good for much of this game, but I don't understand such prolonged droughts.  I did not play organized bball.  Can anyone who did explain this?

I'm okay with these kind of losses...We just can't have any like we did last week at LSU.
Go Hogs!

Tanco was a thorn.  I don't think Pel has been around long enough to make those enemies yet, but they sure seem to not like him or the Hogs.

I just woke up the neighborhood at the end of this game and am on the fast track to being bald from all the hair I pulled out of my scalp.

LOL

Yeah. What really sucks is that the team finally plays hard and the zebras help take it away from them.

The team has been playing hard for a while;  if they had any quit in them whatsoever, they couldn't have come back to beat Alabama after trailing for 38 minutes.
No cause, ever, in the history of all mankind, has produced more cold-blooded tyrants, more slaughtered innocents, and more orphans than socialism with power. It surpassed, exponentially, all other systems of production in turning out the dead. The bodies are all around us. And here is the problem: No one talks about them. No one honors them. No one does penance for them. No one has committed suicide for having been an apologist for those who did this to them. No one pays for them. No one is hunted down to account for them. It is exactly what Solzhenitsyn foresaw in The Gulag Archipelago: "No, no one would have to answer. No one would be looked into." Until that happens, there is no "after socialism."

We gave a good effort and we didn't need the refs to help us. We just needed them to do a half-assed job and they didn't. Refs were really bad. Need to start an eyeglasses collection drive for this crew.

agree whole-heartedly with this statement.

I think if EVER there was a legit game that we as HOG fans could point to as getting hosed, THIS IS THE ONE!  Just a shame it came in a low-light basketball season to a low-light team like SC-e

Not to bad really. I think we might've pulled that one out in regulation, but the refs wouldn't let us. As far as ot, the refs just flat shut us down. Worse basketball calling I can ever remember seeing. I've pretty much stayed out of the Pel debate, but I think he should've pulled a Petrino and raised hell tonight.
"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.
Be not ashamed to say you loved them, though you may or may not have always. Take what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own.

And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind.

And about 90 percent of the reason we went 8 minutes without a field goal was the refs

Might as well got a T to make the point but can't really blame pel for not getting T d up either

I guess I should have been more clear in what I meant. Those kids played with heart for 40 minutes *on the road*, which they have not been doing (See LSU game). Even with the scoring drought at the end of the game, we win if the refs call it evenly.
